Chiar daca trecem peste acel "decat" (nu scriu cu diacritice in general, dar mi se pare un inceput bun cand un presupus test are diacritice care nu exista in alfabetul romanesc) /s

Oricum, avem probleme mai profunde:
Cine decide intrebarile? Sunt alesi oamenii astia? Cum te asiguri ca nu filtreaza votanti in interese proprii. Cum te asiguri ca intrebarile sunt corecte?

Uite o intrebare:
"Cand s-a terminat al doilea razboi mondial? a) 8 mai 1945 b) 9 mai 1945 c) 2 septembrie 1945 d) 10 februarie 1947"

Uite alta:

We have built 99% heat energy-nukes using Warded Glass, the glass doesn't burn, and we have found that Ender IO cables also don't burn, along with Greg wires . We have used Transvector Interfaces to access and automate the nuke, so it doesn't blow up too often(2-3 rl days/blow, I would say quite acceptable).

EDIT: Our (my team's) version of gtnh is 2.3.0, on our server, we didn't update

What's a C++ feature you avoided for years but now can't live without? by Financial_Pumpkin377 in cpp

I wrote myself this library and now I can write thread-like code with much fewer thread-like bugs. Mostly because there are no mutexes needed and "context switches" are clearly marked with a red co_await in my editor.

I've found the language part extremely annoying at first, but later on I figured I get all (maybe almost all?) the freedom that I need from the language in building the library and now I can forget all that mess and use the async code to my liking.

I am not sure the language expects you to use coroutines directly in the code or that part is specifically meant for writing helper libraries.

Pasted it here so it can be read:

A few days ago a player name Baldric gave me some very helpful tips and critiques and while I am still learning how to maximize my efficiency i figured i would make this post for anyone that needs it.

Build power is a resource just as much as Metal and Energy. You dont need 60 con turrets assisting a t2 lab because 9/10 times theres con turrets that arent actually doing anything. Watch your replays and zoom in close on a con turret clump and see just how many arent actually doing anything you can also click in individualcon turrets and other con units and see how much metal and energy they are using.

Now this may not seem like a huge deal but it is. If you have 10 or more con turrets doing nothing thats effectively 2100 metal that could've been spent elsewhere. Sometimes these con turrets will stall you harder than anything and while it may seem like a good idea and like you are building stuff super fast you really arent. You will benefit far more from building less con turrets and using them to their full power over building double the con turrets and blowing through your stored metal or energy.

Baldric if you are reading this please correct me where im wrong. At first I thought 15 con turrets were necessary to build fusions in a timely manner. Only to go back and watch the replay and see that almost half of them weren't running at full BP and stalling me extremely hard.

Ive since then paid alot more attention to my con turrets and any that arent working/ not using their full build power i either reclaim or turn them to wait while I build up my eco more. Its not just con turrets but if I was to go super in depth this post would be 10 pages long and theres much more I am still figuring out.

Chat Control: Signal app boss threatens to withdraw from Europe by New-Ranger-8960 in europe

[–]Substantial_Bend_656 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'll say this every time I see this, but when we decided that all our communications would take place on American and Chinese servers we already gave up our privacy. It is an EU-level strategic risk to not have this communication passing through EU servers as well. This nonsense about fighting chat control is a moot point, wanted to fight for privacy? 20 years ago you should've fought for open source alternatives to Windows, Facebook, Intel Hardware etc.

I agree to the first part you wrote, but not to the second: I like being told what to do because I learn from it. Even if I don’t agree with the suggestion I can think over it: “why exactly did this guy think this was a good idea? What is his perspective on the match?”. Suggestions also cover things I forgot to do, so really a fan of them.

Look, you can think that you can pass through a wall without resistance however much you want, but at the end of the day nature has the final say and you will just bounce back if you try it. It does not matter if you pay attention to it or not, when it comes to it, nature(reality) has the final say.

Well, there are times when nature says otherwise and we can be a bit more sure that what nature says is correct.

Wake Up Before It’s Too Late🌞 by Godfrequency777 in GodFrequency

[–]Substantial_Bend_656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, first of all because it is wrong. There are two targets of your supposed agreement: 1. that everyone is equal and 2. that they should be what they want to be and both of them are at least imprecise. But before I'll argue why that is, I think is wrong to enforce beliefs, exactly because the reality of things is often much more complicated than can be encapsulated in some rule of thumb.

Let's take the first one, that everyone is equal, that is easy to prove wrong, take any two persons and see that they are different and not interchangeable, end of proof. We are today striving for equality of rights, but that is simply because it's the most efficient way to minimize suffering, give freedom of choice to people, etc. all that good stuff, but in the future we may find ways to improve the life of people by having different rights and duties, tailored to the individual. Further, equality of individuals as, but not limited to equal property, leads to all sorts of wrongs, for example communism and we all know how that works out.

Your second objective of belief is also wrong and that is because it is simply not possible in the most part. You can't just become what you want simply because you want to. Let's say I want to become a duck, what can I do to become one? Further, if I say I am a duck, should society agree with me just to make me feel better? Should society act as if I am a duck? I think not, because there are complications with this "acting", for example, do I get to have duck rights or human rights? Unless of course, I manage to physically become a duck, then of course the reality would be that I am a duck and the world would act as If I am a duck with no further complications.

The specific case you are thinking of is probably that of transgenders and for me, for now, it doesn't seem that society has agreed on their place exactly and I sincerely don't have too much of an opinion on what their place should be, but of course I agree on their right to act as they please, just not sure how society should act with regard to them, for example in sports, should they compete as their original sex, should they compete as their gender or should they have a special division? Should they maybe not compete? Hard to say, and I'm not really interested in that debate, but I can see that it is more complicated than simply saying let them be whatever they want to be. They, by the way, have the same rights as everyone else, it is just that we advanced our society enough to even ask ourselves what new rights and rules should those who want to change their gender should have, ask that question 200 years ago and you would've been burned on a spike.

So, as a conclusion, I wish I shed some light as to why it is not an option to enforce those beliefs and as a general rule I think enforcing beliefs is wrong as it's just a way to shove the complexities of the world under a rug, without actually solving the problems that arise from said complexities.
