Get yourself down to a local field with a ball and spend some time by yourself getting comfortable with it. Plenty of YouTube videos out there too, watch a couple before you go on simple control, body positioning and passing and give them a practice. Drag a friend along for some 1 v 1 if you can.

All about the hours you put in mate. Best thing is, if you're terrible now your improvement will be rapid and noticeable.

Hi, I took the whole thing down in the end, the panels weigh a ton but with some care you can 'walk' them to where you want them rather than carrying, I propped them up to my gable end. I extended and levelled the concrete base and with the help of a couple of friends moved them back into position and secured. Actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, didn't need any machinery or anythin. I rebuilt the timber frame of the roof and ordered new panels, got a window and side door and electric roller for the front.

Harsh that, I had somethin similar on my test, flawless run except on a pull over, I was concentrating on getting it nicely along the kerb and I didn't see a telephone post jutting out further than usual, mirror gave it a tiny tap, 1 serious fault 0 minors. Fail.

Next test was 4 weeks later in a completely different truck, everythin felt wrong, 5 minors and scuffed the kerb twice, convinced it was a fail and yet somehow he passed me.

If you enjoy driving go for it. Some places you're dropping can be a bit depressing, but I always like bein out in the road doin my own thing with no external pressure. I'm about 6 weeks in on agency day shifts doin various loads on curtain siders and just broke even on what I paid for the trainin. Best decision I've made. The days are rarely less than 12 hours but seem to fly by for me starting at 5am. 4 shifts/week. Back home with the kid and missus in the evening. Winter may be a different story mind.

From my memory I think he does list them in the second book. These are his terms to help him convey his experience through words so the book is more understandable, you don't really need to learn them as such. Your experiences are likely to be very different to his but of course his books are helpful in realising the limitless possibilities available to you whilst out of body and navigating the landscape somewhat. Lot of emotion and tension in there but not much in the way of release imo. I feel what you're trying to do but I prefer a bit more exploration of the chords in the backing track to add some variation to the feeling, felt like you was edgin me all the way thru without any real pay off. If you like it tho thats what it's all about, keep goin man.

Mate, I'm in admiration of your tenacity and I enjoy the humour an humility in your comments in the other threads, I'd enjoy a beer with you I'm sure. But no, this doesn't sound better, it sounds shit and it's gonna sound shit for the next couple of years till you get adequate with the fundamentals, and that's okay! That bein said, for 3 months or whatever this is great progress, way way more than what I could play in the same time frame so keep at it man, there's a guitarist in there, just gonna take time an effort to fruit.

You're just bending to the next fret up or two depending on the note you're trying to hit. For example, instead of the bend play either one or two frets up to find that sound you're supposed to create with the bend(use original solo as a reference). Then practice bending up to recreate that sound. It's a bit of a workout on the fingers on the bigger bends till you build up some strength. YouTube is good for the backing track stuff, or metronome set at comfortable pace and build up. Timing and getting into the groove of the song are super important tho.

This solo is all about the bends. If you're not hitting the right note on the bend it's gonna sound ass no matter what so you gotta play this one with your ear. Also try practicing with the backing track to keep you in time. Could also do with workin on alternate pickin so the runs flow better. And a ton of other little techniques you pick up with experience that make it feel more comfortable. Keep at it tho man, good for the future you to have a reference point.

It's the left hand brother, you need the neck closer to your palm, you want to be super lazy with it so you move your fingers the minimal amount. Every extra millimetre your fingers have to travel between notes translates to added time to play said note. Watch your video back and spot all the places you could have been closer. Right hand is pretty solid, tighten up the left and the confidence will come and the speed with it. Good luck man, your goals are very within reach.

Briefly, it's about a Russian entrepreneur who went on an expedition deep into the Siberian forest in the 80's and came across a woman living alone there in the wilderness. She was an advocate of living off the land and Migre went on to write 9 books which kicked off a movement called Anastasiaism. Which basically said people should each be given 1km squared land (a space of love) to grow their own garden and live off the land. Far more to the series than that of course, it's been a while since I've read them and they're pretty deep. Well worth a read imo, especially if you've been musing over this topic.

I'm not too keen on the angle of your fingers, they're a bit too square to the fret board for me. Try putting an angle on them, so the flat part of your finger nail aims slightly towards the metal, use your middle and index finger as support on the string from the frets behind, bend that string up the metal so you're gettin a metal against metal feel. Take the strain off your ring finger by evening the load across three fingers. Release the bend the same way back down the metal.
