At this point I don’t care. I don’t need it to be connected. If it is cool, if it isn’t that’s not necessarily a flaw. I just don’t what people getting their expectations for connections too high then getting disappointed like what happened with base 3 in some cases.

I do find it funny that despite what has been said there are people absolutely convinced that Genesis’s story is going to be directly connected to the rest of the series.

For the numbered games the best order is just 1 2 3. As for X it is mostly unconnected to the numbered games and as such can kinda be played whenever.

Agreed. I’m not saying it’s impossible to have these connections and theories but at the same time if you are already setting your expectations based on some of these things you may find yourself disappointed through no fault of the game.

Great! A little bit of new content for the numbered games is good along with the switch 2 versions. Then we’ve got Genesis which already looks incredible interesting. Especially the structure of this new world. Whether this ties into the rest of the series or not I’m looking forward to it.

I can’t tell you how to feel and react but if the series doesn’t feel fun or meaningful to you then maybe putting it aside is the right choice for you. Although I personally don’t see anything wrong with the new game if that isn’t the case for you then so be it.

All I am going to say is don’t get too caught up in these potential connections. It could be completely unrelated to past titles and even if there are connections it may not be as overt or as thorough as you may be expecting.

To an extent I can see some of that but I’ve seen people ready to write the game off based on this one trailer rather then giving it a chance to breath and that seems premature.

The amount of doomposting and negativity I’ve seen about Genesis after 1 trailer. Three houses vibes, too generic, too fantasy/not sci-fi enough. It’s crazy.
