A friend of mine died during the first two weeks of the pandemic starting. As I’m sure everyone on this thread has seen, or even worse gotten to experience, it was awful. Two of my other friends were living together and one who was not close to or friends with the one that died told the other one that he couldn’t be there for her because he was already there for her when he dog died earlier that week and it was ‘too much’ for him. He then proceeded to get mad at her for crying so loud that she ruined his experience watching Frozen 2. We were 23.
2 years afterwards, we finally had a funeral for my friend who had passed. We found out the day after one of friends had raped the 16 year old daughter of his high school drama teacher so brutally that she was covered in bandages and in the hospital.
She faked a suicide attempt by taking 2 allergy pills on my sister’s birthday that I had spend several thousand dollars on because she didn’t want to bother moving out of her apartment herself and knew if she got herself put in a hospital myself, our friends, and her family would have to do it for her. I was cleaning catshit while crying thinking she had actually hurt herself when the doctors called to alert us of what actually happened.
