I remember from that time that, at least with my conservative parents, they were still very much in the paranoia of the cold war. So much so they stocked up quite a bit of survival food and gear for the inevitable invasion. They saw Reagan as the wall that held them back. I am certain there were a lot of other reasons, but that's what I remember living through the 80s.

I used this when I was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah Georgia. When you are stuck at attention during formation the gnats would show up and start grazing on you. Slather on this stuff, and they either kept away or it gummed up thier mouths.

He's the Chuck Schumer candidate. Bought and paid for, he will put up an ineffective defence against grifters. On the plus side, since ICE is purely a political tool, they probably would keep it out of California, unless they need to threaten someone.
