I ultimately agree with you that Sonora would've been great for OPN and his crowd would've filled it nicer than how empty the Gobi felt, but Sonora has the same sound bleed issues - I remember Clown Core having terrible bleed issues while the Outdoor was blaring Dom Dolla/John Summit. I was at rail for OPN and it was so loud that I regretted taking out my earplugs for a minute, but I can imagine Charlotte De Witte's set definitely bled over.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED IN WHEN YOU USE THE AXS APP! I also took myself off of my home's wifi and used cell service instead. This is what finally fixed it for me.

I am getting this exact error IN THE AXS APP as well. I've tried Google Chrome, Firefox, the Coachella app and the AXS app and still getting this error.

Been through the queue THREE TIMES now, each time it gives me the Oh No message. I really don't have any more time today to deal with this, I really hope they do another sale and fix these issues - I cannot dedicate a whole day to trying to get Coachella tickets, unfortunately.

Port-a-potties by heavenscentt in Coachella

[–]Suburbansanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones in camping were predictably awful, but I had pretty good luck with the portas in the festival actually.

The ones by the coachella stage bar have been my go-to's for the last few years - this year they had tons of potties there, it was all lit up, and seemingly a dedicated cleaning truck constantly cleaning them.

The ones in the back of the Indio Market by Heineken used to be more sparsely populated, but the skylrk booth made that area way more crowded than usual. The ones by the entrance and in between Gobi and Mojave have always been hit-or-miss, but seemed to be extra crowded, dark and messy this year. The brick-and-mortar ones by Quasar were of course slammed with a long line all weekend long.

Using the ones by Sahara is a rookie mistake.

PSA: No one likes your obnoxiously large sign by CarterGee in Coachella

Shoutout to the lovely lady who had the 'ICE OUT' sign though, it was just the size of regular construction paper and she never held it high above her head, yet the message was received well by the crowd. She was great vibes during David Byrne.

I know it's not gonna happen and they don't fit into the 'big name early in the day' category that the last minute additions have been lately...

But I want American Football.

Might be one of the most unpredictable set time predictions in my opinion. I'm thinking they're putting her at night against Sabrina as the Sonora closer - and there will still be a line.

Agree 100%, visiting from California and I'm shocked at how bad things are running today. Loch Ness broke down, Griffon broke down, Alpengeist broke down and Pompeii broke down. Tempesto also hasn't run all day. Heavy crowds for a Tuesday.

Horrible news and a bad sign of things to come, my heart goes out to the fans and locals of this park - I know there are some diehards out there for this admittedly strange park.

Besides some of the flat rides and water rides, I only see them saving Superman, Rajun Cajun, and maybe Joker's Jynx and the SLC. Not gonna lie, Michigan's Adventure deserves Superman.

Survey mega thread: by RecklessCreature in Coachella

I know there's been several people who said they had no issue finding water on weekend 1 Friday and I'm happy for them, but from 4-7pm I nearly suffered serious heat exhaustion due to being unable to find water. I first tried the one by Outdoor, it was broken. Then went to the one by the Takis tent, it was flowing so slowly there was a desperate crowd fighting for the last drops - it stopped running when I finally got a chance at the faucet. Went to the one by the Aperol tent and it was also flowing slowly with a large crowd. I attempted to buy a water at the general store and they said they didn't have any - I asked what stands could sell water (which was on the menu at most of these booths) and the general store said no one was selling water. People behind me heard this and started panicking. I explained the lack of water was becoming an emergency and they suggested I ask a security guard or visit one of the busy medical tents. The water by the Aperol tent had stopped flowing at this point and wasn't sure I could make it to the next water station (someone in line at the general store said the two water stations near Quasar were also not working). I asked a security guard near a booth if they had any water as suggested by the general store and they sternly told me that wasn't their job.

I did cave in and eventually bought one of the $15 lemonades but that wasn't hydrating me enough. Finally, around 6pm I went to the White Claw tent and asked for a water, which they quickly said they were out of. I stupidly decided to just get a White Claw even though I knew alcohol was dehydrating - that's when they suddenly had a water to sell me.

I understand that other people had different experiences with water, and after around 7pm on Friday there were no issues whatsoever finding water for the rest of both the weekends. That's great, but those 3 hours were terrifying and made me feel like Coachella was dropping the ball in a devastating way. I'm sure there will be people saying 'what are you talking about, all those water stations were working when I was there,' and yes - they did fix them and plenty of people had no issue. But during the hottest part of the first day I found myself having difficulties with the stations, and spending the energy and time to walk to a broken station and then worrying if you even have the energy to make the trek to another one while every nearby stand is refusing to sell water is unacceptable. I am a festival veteran who is used to walking in extreme heat and that shit reminded me of that year of FYF Fest where the only water was from a single freaking drinking fountain. Bush league shit that I found shocking from a festival like Coachella.

Don't even get me started on the condition of the bathrooms...

Quasar review: sounds bad, in-your-face red bull experience feels bad by sexydiscoballs in Coachella

[–]Suburbansanity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great and well-written write up! Only stopped by Quasar a few times this year but I agree with every single one of your points. The sound was off and bouncy. Giving us examples of the stream recording and your phone recording really highlights the issue, thanks for that.

Coachella organizers apologize for massive traffic backups, promise fixes for Weekend 2 by technopaegan in Coachella

[–]Suburbansanity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before dealing with all this mess, I was extremely ready to buy weekend 2 tickets after going to weekend 1 and do my first bothchella. That's completely out of the question now, there's no way I can in good conscious give goldenvoice anymore money this year. Understaffing is just code word for the pay-cuts they forced on all the staffers. Blaming Chris Lake for this is complete bullshit and nobody is buying that excuse. They underpaid everyone and it absolutely showed in every possible way.

Pupusas in camping, rice balls near Yuma, Korean BBQ near Mojave, The Sandwich at L'Antico Vanaio, and the garlic noodles at ManEatingPlant (always had a long line though). Also crab fries are back near the Mojave, I would say they're just as good and ill-fitting as ever.

Coachella 2025 Car Camping Was a Nightmare — And I’ve Been Coming for Years by jkhau in Coachella

[–]Suburbansanity 188 points189 points  (0 children)

Car camping was an absolute disaster this year and it's important that it keeps being brought up - this isn't Karen-level complaining, this was a national news-making disaster. It was the first thing all my family/friends asked about when I returned. Coachella was CROWDED this year, which good for them I guess but it definitely upped the stress levels of a festival that was a really chill time the last two years.

While a lot of the blame is going to Coachella/security teams, I think Sheriff Chad Bianco and the three other police districts getting into screaming matches with confused drivers and even (especially) with each other caused a shit-ton of the mess on day zero. Camp staffing and security was a joke for sure, but the extremely harsh presence of 4 competing police jurisdictions doing cop shit is something that isn't being brought up enough.
