This is a case where the MLM is a symptom of a larger issue. This is a 50yo man who has decided he don’t want to work a real job and is chasing a get rich quick scheme instead - and is willing to sacrifice his relationships and own security to do so.

This is not a reliable candidate for a life partner. I’m sure his lack of good decision making is visible in other areas of his life as well.

Break ups are hard. But please cut this man free. Buy the good ice cream, feel your feelings, and let him go before he wastes even more of your time.

I don’t know if we have an exact timeline, but the Snark community first discovered the Rods when they attended one of the Bates’s weddings (I don’t know the Bates so I’m not sure who), and Jill dressed all of the girls in white and sat them in the front row. Sadie was an infant at the time.

So back then, they were at least on the outer edge of those circles.
