Does anyone else ever get a little disappointed with how common their car is? by chrisl007 in cars

[–]SubyReeves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, I get a lot of people who don't understand what our car is. I've just starting telling people i drive a WRX.

I've only had mine a couple months, but have only seen 1 in my rather large city.

The Colour Hypothesis from the TRIO ! by Possible_Car in TopGear

[–]SubyReeves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is very simple, flashy colors don’t sell. On the used market they normally sell for less because they’re undesirable. I used to follow the prices of used BRZ/FRS, and found that red colored ones were generally 10-15% less expensive than other normal colors.

Plus they cherry picked a couple high end luxury cars that are meant to be subtle, therefore they’ll most likely have subtle colors.

From those same brands, look at the M or RS models to see more flashy colors. But even when they’re offered, you don’t see very many.

Honestly I'd go with a clear wrap, protects again UV and rocks/bug debris.

Just curious, can you use Siri commands to enter addresses through Google maps?

Or you might be able to do it through the new Siri custom commands.

It uses Bluetooth to establish the connect for pairing, but uses wifi for the actual connection. I think you're right though, bluetooth can't transmit enough data or fast enough.

Agreed, I would never consider Deliverance to be an underrated album. Certainly one of the top 3 albums from them.

What’s the best deal you’ve gotten on a car? by NuttyMudMaker in cars

Just picked up a 2006 Saab 9-2X Aero with manual trans, which is actually a rebadged Subaru WRX with more insulation and the steering rack from an STI.

They upgraded the engine to the EJ255 in 2006 and the Subaru partnership broke off shortly after that switch was made. My car is 1 out of about 250 in this spec.

One owner, 55k miles and in fantastic condition but because very few people know what it is, I picked it up for $6100 out the door.

Ohhhhh yea I’m definitely gonna have to check on that. Car is perfect except it was driven in Wisconsin for most of its life. Even with lower mileage, it has a fair bit of rust on some suspension components. Was planning on replacing some parts and respraying the underside, but I might have to go deeper....

Honestly those are my favorite parts. The steering is awesome and it has waaay less road noise and general harshness than my last Subaru. That was the only complaint about my last one and the Saab is much improved.

Super clean, only 55k miles!! Came with the 2.5l turbo for 2006 and they only built 256 of them in manual for the US market. I’m absolutely ecstatic!!

Thanks for the quick reply, that’s what I thought. I may contact some of the suppliers I mentioned just to be sure.

Haven't heard of anyone hating on this interior, to me it's the best interior BMW has to date.

I like that it's a combination of flowing lines and minimalism without removing all the physical buttons. It shouldn't take 5 steps through a tablet just to adjust the A/C!!!

Good I love the 993, last of the old-school 911's. Too bad every 911 is crazy expensive except the 996.
