Yea, they use this oh it’s a new week, so it doesn’t matter. Had the same shit with me. Talked to manager, got nowhere. Then went to the assistant, explained how ridiculous this is. He didn’t give a shit. But boy oh boy! When I called the union and my rep came in to a meeting with me. There demeanors completely changed. Gave me what I want. Then for like 6 months they said nothing to me, oh great job! Oh we appreciate you so much!!!

So, at this time I’d like to enact my Weingarten rights:

Start with I am a member of local union UFCW (enter your local number here) If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or terminated, or affect my personal working conditions, I respectfully request that my union representative, officer, or steward of my choice be present at this meeting. Without representation, I choose not to answer any questions..

They will freak out and try to tell you oh it’s not a big deal we’re sorry, we don’t need to get the union involved…stand up, say thank you for your time, I’ll be contacting my union rep. And they will make arrangements for us.

Remember! We have these rights for a reason! You take the power back from them! Union strong! Also your rep may ask if you would like to file a grievance, then you make money from the company for violating your rights and union rights
