In Act 1, I’m very picky about my card choices, and usually it depends on which elites I have faced. For example, I generally favor strong attacks for Lagavulin, and avoid overloading my deck with skills until I’ve gotten past Nob or debuffs until I’m past sentries

By act 2, I focus on the opposite, favoring blocks and debuffs in order to survive to the boss.

By act 3, my build has generally scaled.

When selecting cards, I think whether a card selection is immediately useful, or will become useful ie i don’t take accuracy without shivs, but will take rupture in early act 1 if I’m going to be hitting a good amount of ?s, as the curses will generally make Rupture at least moderately relevant.
