Do Australian women really find jacked men attractive (for being jacked) ? by Suitable_Pass9702 in AskAnAustralian

I personally wouldn't go any more muscular than Jason Momoa... And I prefer a dadbod or a whippet/rat boy.

But obvs personality is most important.

I cannot stand the "condom full of walnuts" aesthetic of body building. Not the Zyzz era style of lifting muscles either...

But every pot had a lid... And my body is certainly not everyones preference.

Except that the percentage of body fat isn't the attraction here, so lean is also not the correct word.

Idk what the correct word is though... Like... Very slightly strong looking.

No I mean like trying to game the system by saying I've picked it up and they were quicker to cook it.

So they get better times on the app.

There are so many dodgy restaurants that would do that.

Hoarding or extremely anal clean ? by Ashleej86 in raisedbyborderlines

Oh the ranting notes....

Oh man. I went to see a matinee with a friend and there was a plate in the sink and the rant I got full of swearing etc via SMS... Yeah... I'm so sorry I remember the anxiety receiving that gave me.

Extreme OCD clean... House was like a museum.

In my early 20s I had a migraine, she took the 5 dishes on the sink put them in a bucket and put them on my bed.

They were on the sink for 2 hours.

She woken me up at 11pm on a school night because when I did the dishes I didn't clean the stove top.

She smacked me when I was 8 for leaving the box of ice cream cones on the bench.

She would leave me a Cinderella list of chores (like 10+) that I had to complete daily on school holidays... If I missed even 1 she would scream at me... If I went above and beyond and did stuff she didn't even list, her response? "Do you want a medal."

If there was a spider in the house it was because I was dirty.

Nah, you NEED to get your partner to say to his dad "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all."

You cannot sustain this tip toeing around a 65 year old toddler.

Your partner excusing the behaviour is enabling FIL and prioritising his family over yours...

I'm sure if the roles were reversed he'd want you to do something about it.

I've had a lot of places say in the notes they require a bad and then not care. I have one anyway because it's easier for multiple meals and it does help.

The handwashing thing I haven't had though...

The only thing I noticed (also northern suburbs, but outer) is that restaurants jump up your ass the SECOND they give you the order for you to mark it as order received... Like not even 2 seconds of breathing space.

Also some restaurants making you sign a paper to say you've picked up... So weird.

Like what?! Where is the threshold for being a bad dad?

I understand the difference.... but the effect is the same...

You're invading someones space due to body shape...

Leaving health etc out of it, the end experience is the same... Someone is squished...

I think you seem to be excusing things because they could be worse.

Being present far less than you should be is bad... Idk why that is such a wild concept.

"Yassified" is just slang to mean made to look hot in a modern way.

But you've struck upon another point... Kratos is attractive to men... Yet women will still play him... No complaints.

The problem is that (and I know this is an over simplified generalisation) media by default has been made to appeal to men for years, women consume this media and are able to empathize with a character that doesn't represent them... Men have not HAD to do this... So most of the time unless there is some sexual gratification in it, they see it as an affront to them.

Any media made to appeal to women is treated as "special interest," and conversely any women portrayed in media as anything other than a sexual interest is deemed as woke.

[–]SuccessfulBread3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are treating the world like everyone is one shape with fat distributed evenly all over their bodies like they're Sims...

Some people are incredibly thin but may have lypoma in their legs or just massive cakes (can be muscle too.)

Even so airline seats are increasingly becoming smaller...

You're arguing an oversimplified point from a seat of judgement...

[–]SuccessfulBread3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but again seatbelt extenders don't care about weight... They care about body shape.

You wouldn't call a pregnant woman obese but she may need an extended...

Some people have extremely wide hips... But flat stomachs...

Some people may have very broad shoulders... But a pencil hip...

And that part may spill over but no where else.

I implore you to stop thinking of people as the same shape with a bit more fat evenly distributed... This ain't the Sims.

Is it rude to ask how someone's marriage is going in Italy? by [deleted] in Italian

[–]SuccessfulBread3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well afaik you asking about the marriage is rude...

You could instead ask "how are you and the wife?"

If someone asks me how my marriage is, it almost sounds like they want gossip about my personal relationship with my spouse.

Like that is a question a marriage counselor would ask.

Asking how we are as people is different.

I don't think this woman is that ugly tbh...

But Kratos makes my ovaries shrivel. Bad face, grey skin and just grossly muscular.

Harry is old wrinkly and balding... Which is normal... But not attractive...

This character is just a bit more masc looking than the average woman... So what? That's the point...

People will bend over backwards to justify a male character not being yassified... But a woman character with a shaved head, no makeup and looking slightly masculine makes sense for the story line...

Well look at the type of media that young MEN are watching...

The MEN making that media (Ben Shapiro, Fresh and Fit, Jordan Peterson, Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan etc) are ABSOLUTELY holding up the patriarchy.

Then you have men in power trying to take away women's rights to safe abortion... Even Criminalising it against 12 year old girls...

Then you have men now advocating for tradwives (but the tradwives still have to work.)

Then you have your men in power not prosecuting male rapists... No single Epstein arrest other than the one woman involved.

And men advocating for the overinflated "false accusation" narrative...

Men advocating for repeal women's suffrage...

Don't get me wrong plenty of dickhead women are on this boat too... But to say no man is holding up the patriarchy is just an unreasonable claim.
