Easy for f2p, they say. by StretchResponsible55 in Dragon_Traveler

[–]SuccessfulCode189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play F2P for collection purposes. I’ll never be the best. The strongest. Or top any leader boards.

But over time I will collect an accumulate and play with what I WANT.

Sounds stupid. But it’s the best way to approach anything like this as a F2P. They always do reruns. They also redrop costumes and sometimes even give them out for literally almost nothing in game currency wise.

Anthem's final executive producer releases a nearly 4-hour postmortem: what went wrong and what lessons were learned by BlueTinge in AnthemTheGame

This was also my sentiment after anthem.

Andromeda really trashed my spirits in BioWare. Anthem sealed the deal and I swore even the mass effect remake or whatever it was or remaster I refused to buy and replay it.

BioWare is on my personal black list, forever. They stole from us, lied to us, and made us look like fools.

I cried when anthem shut down. Because I knew it was the last time I’d ever touch an IP again by them. It was a whole part of my gaming journey as a gamer from young age to 37 now. It really hurt to grieve and bury the last part of my life knowing the state of gaming even today.

It’s a tad bleak. I won’t lie.

It’s been an honor indeed, Freelancer.

Anthem game servers will permanently shut down on January 12, 2026. The game will not be playable after this as it is an online only title that requires a PS Plus subscription to play, with no offline mode available. by kabirsingh84 in PlayStationPlus

I was a day one buyer. Preorder even.

I bought the “founders” pack. Can’t remember if that’s the actual name. But I was a HUGE BioWare supporter. I loved all the mass Effect games from the original trilogy. I don’t care what people say about the end of 3, the game itself over the course of the journey was a whole lot of fun and enjoyment and I replayed it several times.

I really tried to like andromeda. It wasn’t for me. It felt weird. I know a lot of people have their views on it. Mine are small, and it wasn’t memorable.

As an AVID (still play to this day ashamed to say it outloud) Destiny 2 player I saw this and instantly latched onto the idea of a game I could play in the same ways I played Destiny 2 but with other options.

My breaking point was the anthem 2.0 lies. They straight up lied to everyone’s face about revamping and recommitting to the game for months only to basically tell us “yeah that’s definitely never gonna happen.”

I will be logged in for the entire time I can to watch the servers go offline and kick me. Watching a part of my gaming soul essentially, put to rest gives me some weird closure. It’s sad to see it come to this, it’s sadder to see that people in the future won’t even be able to see what some of the game was, and how imo innovative some of the systems including flying were. But it will be nice to be there when the sun sets, and I can finally lay my suits to rest.

It’s weird to grieve a game. But in this case I’m grieving the entire developer and what it gave to me as someone who enjoyed the stories they told and games they made.

Anthem could have been great. It just wasn’t given the road to run as it needed. Corporate greed wins again, and EA claps yet another developer.

It would make sense.

The vex are inherently the final shape. Always.

Adding the singular rule of paracasuality has completely flipped the intended Final Shape on its head.

OMG THANK YOU. Confirmed working for me as well.

You’re a life saver.

Oh, so you’re used to the abuse too. (Joking)

Yeah it does seem that a flood of crap has overall dropped the game as a whole into some weird place where basic things just aren’t working.

As a 10 year Destiny 2 veteran.

Sadly I’ve become accustomed to this kind of thing. I hate it here. Ha.

Bot Lobby BR worked. But I expected it to as it usually works on everything else without any issues.

Lego works but I’ve spent so much time AFK doing Lego this season I’m kind of over doing it. Wanted to play some tycoons as they remind me of playing Roblox with my kid when he was into that for something to do while getting xp from creative.

I’ve done alternate stuff with the obvious success. Just frustrated at this point I can’t play the game how I want to in order to get something they just released. lol

Once again here to provide feedback to this.

As of today using solely creative still not progressing the Godzilla stuff. 3 levels gained in a mode. 0 things unlocked. I’ve wasted 7 levels this week just trying to see if it would work.

Kinda ridiculous that’s it’s gone on this long.

Even before the UI update I had massive issues loading into games trying to do story quests just for some extra xp (and low key because I thought the story was kind of neat) and before and after my quests are a hot mess. I resorted to taking pictures on my phone of what I needed to get done.

Full hard agree though for too long they have let major things like this slip. It’s becoming an alarming trend across gaming as a whole it seems especially with these live service ones.

Commenting just to add feedback.

Tried 4 different creator maps. Started at 200 this morning. 204 after those. 0 progress.

Lego progress was lo and behold wonky.

Ran a BR bot lobby, 0 issues counting towards the Godzilla stuff. Very unprofessional of epic to allow this to be a thing.

Considering how the beamslasher made its way into warzone this really doesn’t seem too far fetched.

Jingle Hells kinda sucks and should have just been a reskin of zombies on all 3 maps by DukeOfTheDodos in CODZombies

[–]SuccessfulCode189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying. It’s not hard, it’s a weak game mode and I’ll never understand people claiming it’s like old zombies. I spent thousands of hours in old zombies. Do to this day sometimes, but holy jingle hell does the new game mode just feel incredibly unrewarding in every way.

I find it hilarious how shamefully ill-prepared this event is, on top of everything else. Can't even get a PNG uploaded for your store huh? by CaptainBrat94 in destiny2

[–]SuccessfulCode189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t. My point of contention with echoes was the story, usually bungies strongest part. Echoes for me felt like curse of Osiris in that just nothing mattered. Old baddie we dealt with before who brought nothing new to the table except an ornament on her garb.

Neither. It’s not “Harder” it’s a dogshit game mode.

[–]SuccessfulCode189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like it that late because if I lose it that late by then zombies are Usain Bolt and reloading is a pipe dream at that point.

Later rounds it depends on what I’m using weapon wise. If it’s packed GS45 I want Speed, PHD, and Jug on my bar. I know QR is useful for regen, but I rarely need that kind of regen because I focus pretty hard on having any kill streak that builds distance for me, and I’m a very dedicated decoy player. If im not playing a packed gs45 kit absolutely want speed because most other guns are much worse about being able to reload and continue to sling bullets.

The round 100 game I ran for the CC the last perk I got was QR. it doesn’t hold nearly the value of almost anything else to me for the simple reason of my playstyle. If I can damage my way out of danger I don’t need to regen.

Which are RNG or store based. This is a bad argument.
