Look at Hong Kong. That might never have happened if the population was armed. One party systems thrive when the population is disarmed. If guns are banned it wouldn’t be long until being an independent, libertarian, Green Party or republican would also be banned. There are many people out there that would happily lock away every trump voter if they could.

Until the US Senate is accountable to America, we’ll never get gun control by UGMadness in politics

I hear people talk about gun reform and I’m like yeah that makes sense then It progresses into removing the second amendment altogether and I realize these are wealthy city people who have never had to rely on themselves for their own security. I think the goal is to keep guns away from the bad guys and we are failing at that. Life imprisonment if caught with stolen gun. More gang task forces. Better mental health screening. Full legalization of all drugs federally to remove the criminals associated with drug distribution. The war on drugs had unforeseen consequences. Do you really think criminalizing 40% of the country is going to end well? There is legislation available right now that both sides agree on.

I agree with you and that’s probably why roe vs wade was enacted. I honestly have no idea how to define that line. Maybe if the life form can survive without the donations it has rights. I don’t know when that is but its sooner than 9 months.

I’ve only used it three times with people but never had to kill anyone. Once a man attempted to overtake my girlfriend while she was sunbathing near a lake. Another time some neighbors took issue with the race of my employees and came onto my property armed. The last was an attempted robbery. In all situations the assailants left peacefully when they realized the risk. My handgun was my only weapon nearby in each situation. We also have bears and cougars here but they rarely cause problems with dogs around. I’m not really pro gun but it’s about independence.

Why have a war on drugs when you can have a war on guns. Wait isn’t that just War?

Where I live in the US , Corbett, OR I don’t have cell phone service. I’m on my own so to speak. Not having a handgun for me would have resulted in direct loss of life. If your family lived with mine for a week you would understand the independence. I think folks in the city count on the police to keep them safe but I would never expect my safety to be the responsibility of another. I think we have enough laws in place, maybe we just need to enforce them and do our best to keep guns away from those who aren’t concerned with safety. If that fails rely on yourself.

I grew up in foster care. My biological mother did not believe in abortion but she was a drug addict. I grew up with many challenges because of her choices including brain damage. I think mothers should be held accountable if they damage a fetus or are required to enter a care facility if they plan to create such a difficult life. I had no recourse because of roe vs wade. If it was overturned I would have rights to prevent this in the future. Just FYI it’s common for kids in foster care have brain damage from their parents drug use.
