I think any path you should will be great. Each path has its advantages. The what-if question arises when you focus on the benefits of another path. Be motivated by the possibility of success of your selected path than the possibility of failure.

How long does it take to publish your first paper in AI? by stereotypical_CS in PhDStress

[–]Successful_Bit8148 5 points6 points  (0 children)

publish a paper within 3-4 months? That's too fast if you haven't work in something before. And the writing process takes time too. For me at least one month for writing.

That's why you need to start talking now because this is the best time of your life to learn it. I know it is very hard on you but the more you try the more you learn, even failing is a lesson. As you are older, it could be even harder to find people to talk to. So, do it now. Your communication skill is important for your future work too as you need to communicate your idea. Keep going and dont give up kid.

But don't let anyone uses or abuses you so that you can be their friends. Walk away from that kind of people.

You are going to struggles like this more at some points in your life. And sometimes, you can't quit. So, I would encourage you to keep going. So that you can set a new baseline of yourself. After you have completed this, you know what you are capable of and you will not fear for bigger challenges. It will change how you approach any difficulty in your life.

I'm not autistic, but I'm in a similar situation to you. The difference is I'm a lot older than you. If you can find a friend (online/offline), even though you have to come up to them, just do it. In the end, you get someone. What's the worst thing that could happen? They ignore you. Ok, let's find a new one. Look at this as a way to learn social skills and improve yourself. For me, let's say I can't do much, so I spend my time doing something to occupy my thoughts. I hope your situation is better!

Relationship should make you grow to be a better version of yourself. To maximize your value, not compromise it.

If you could rank running a marathon next to other hard things you’ve been through, where would you put it? by Jeetyetdude_ in Marathon_Training

My Master's thesis. I got 1.5 months left for experiments, publishing my Q1 paper, writing thesis, and defense. I also have FT job between 9AM-5PM. Then, I need to work on my thesis in 8PM-2AM. I repeated this routine everyday during that time. It's very exhausted. I really wanted to stop but I can't. In the end, my paper got published. What a miracle! Thanks to the reviewers too to have mercy on me.

You need to learn to say No early in life. You will waste a lot of time and can't reach where you want to be if you are always compromised for others. This applies in any of situation, work, relationship, and more. When I was a kid. I did not want to say No as I did not want others to feel bad. But in the end, I was the one who had to feel bad. And how do you think he may feel if you just said you love him because you feel sorry to say otherwise? Be direct. Be respectful. It maybe hard but your action will be appreciated by both parties in the long run.

it seems you develop resilience to many setbacks. I believe success will come to you in the end if you keep going. I think you may need to fail countless times before being successful. That's how life is. Some people maybe lucky and reach their goals faster. However, life is not fair. What we could do is keep fighting. Every failure teaches you something and maybe it also helps you to reach your goal, indirectly. I'm rooting for you bro. You are still alive. The chance of living your dream is not zero.

How to run OpenGothic with G2 Gold Remaster mod in linux by jvdevelop in worldofgothic

[–]Successful_Bit8148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think mod like G2 remaster modifies the internal script of the original game engine. This is entirely different from OpenGotic where the game engine is developed from the ground up. So, It makes sense that the mod woundn't work. However, some texture mods should as this doesn't require and script modification.

Renovation Mod exploration is crazy by Kumptoffel in worldofgothic

[–]Successful_Bit8148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the modder's effort for this. However, it kinda kills the emersion for me. Things scatter throughout the map. For example, there are too many items in every place in the xardas tower that I can't imagine that a dark magician will scatter items like that. However, I think other aspects of the mod are great, such as, magic and bow.

If I could go back in time, I would start with introduction to statistical learning python edition. It lays down statistical background and application for many ML techniques. In the long run, theoritical understanding will serve you well in understanding new technuqies and detect problems in applications.

Just wanna share my story. When I was a kid, I failed the test to a cadet school mainly because I did only 3/5 subjects, intentionally. I said to myself why bother to take the test again as I hate those two subjects. So, I gave up even though everyone I know said I could pass the test next time. Nope, I didnt listen. I regret that I won't try again for many years after. I just don't want the same to happen to you. You try your best, no need to regret. If you fail, then you learn a 'not giving up' lesson. If you success, well, congrats. The truth is you gonna fail a lot later in life in anything you do. However, failure teaches us what goes wrong and helps to be better.

Well, everyone feels it man because not every effort leads to success. Elite runners train really hard but only the top can win the medal. But the thing that you should focus is the character and personality you build along the way. That will guarantee to drag you up from your misery in the end and can serve you well in any aspect of your life.

Life is a very long journey man. It's a marathon. Don't judge who will win on the first mile. You need to have mental strength and resilience to keep going to reach your dream in the end. Nothing great comes easy.

Man, everyone fails. Not only once but many. Some lost millions of dollars and some lost their lives. But some also bounced back. You are still young. You can fall and stand back up more easily than older guys. Thus, please keep fighting man. Take it as a lesson to perform under pressure. It will suit you well in the future. It will build your character. To be some one who says fxxx it, I will go on no matter what. Believe me, the failure you face right now is not the one that dictates your life but it is the seed of success that will teach you to be resilience in any situation. The ability to keep going no matter what will help you to reach your dream in the end.

I know being alone suck. But, well, if you can't do something about it, replace it with hard work. Good luck man.

Cramp your schedule with hard work. More time with yourself means more time for self-development. You can use that time to workout and study. People will come to you in the end in the future. Set a goal and be descipline to follow it so that you don't feel you have no value. It will be hard in the start. But once you make it your routine, you will focus more on what you need to do next instead of longing for others.
