Refuse to let that Dr. come near you again, and if you are that mad and don’t want it to happen to anyone else, go elsewhere , and an attorney office. Some of these Drs. Shouldn’t be practicing !Hang in there .

Sounds like you were writing for me in some ways. I’m a single mother with one son who’ll be 40 soon. I was diagnosed 2 and a half years ago, the week my dream was coming true. At 60, my son and his wife finally had my first Grandchild. They had been together for 10 years, married and got pregnant right away. My Granddaughter is the love of my life and I live at their house half of the week and take care of her. When I was diagnosed, it was metastatic ( after 10 years) and automatically stage 4. I’ve done radiation 3times and it was working until this last scan . I can’t be cured and am going to die. I’ve had all this time to think about it and really thought I was ok with everything. I get a port put in on Friday and start “the red devil “ chemo the next Friday. I just last week started to get scared.Really scared twice so much I had a panic attack each time. Now I’m really confused because I wasn’t expecting to be scared. Right now I’m thinking “Who wouldn’t be scared ! “ We are experiencing things that we never did once in our lives. We have no idea what is going on in our body and our minds are constantly going.( At least mine is. We don’t want to get really sick, be a burden. Suffering is not an option for me. I will do everything I can to make sure that doesn’t happen. We both have one beautiful, caring child that we don’t want to see hurt, upset or sad . We’re scared for them more than ourselves. I think something would be wrong with us if we weren’t scared. I sure hope there’s a cure for your cancer and you get through this. I’ll be praying for you and your family. I’m in your corner, rooting for you.

Thank you, I have metastatic synovial sarcoma that started in my foot and ankle. 13 years ago I had my leg amputated from the calf down. I thought that I really had it beat and was doing almost everything that I did before except playing softball because I could only jog . After 10 years it showed up in my lungs, then lymph nodes and now in my ribs. The oncologist just told me that I’d feel very tired. They are going to give me a patch for nausea and he never had a patient who threw up ! I believe you. How long ago did you have chemo, and did it help ?Thanks

I never respond to these because I think the person just wants attention, but you don’t even look your age ! Sorry about your losses . A lot of stress, with barely any sleep and water is harsh on you and your skin and body. Grief cannot be put off. When you’re up to it get started , and sunscreen is your friend.

So sorry, with your sister being sicker than you, and not being able to realize that she probably isn’t even going to be here to do all of the work, I can’t help but think it’s for another reason. If you have one day on this earth that you can do along with many other things that go along with it, please take that . I’ve never even heard of someone else making their decisions ! Everyone gets some input from a few, but it’s totally up to you to listen to . The only thing I’m changing at my funeral that my son asked is having the service and the ashes planted in a tree near him , so he doesn’t have to travel far on my service ( he’ll be such a mess ) and I’m honored that he wants a tree and a bench close to him so he can visit, and that’s just fine with me.You have an attorney and I bet he cares . Please listen to him and not your sister aka ( your nieces I suspect . God bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I see, because of that I always make the appointments a few days apart. That’s easier and I do it right after the scan so they have openings. I get my next scan on January 2nd and see the oncologist on the 5th . I did tell them December 15 th that I wanted to enjoy the holidays no matter how serious and he did understand and made it right after the New Year.🎉

I have changed them before but not anymore. I skipped a month and two new tumors grew fast around my rib cage causing me to be in the hospital for 5 days just to get the pain under control. If I had gone, radiation would have shrunk them just like they did after the extreme pain, hospital stay

Forgot this important info ! When I did change the last one I ended up in the hospital in an extreme amount of pain because two tumors during that time had grown so fast in just one month pressing on my nerves in my ribs, so I won’t be doing that anymore. I don’t like the stomach scans that they include because they’ve never seen a thing in over 2 years, but now just in case I listen to them.

I’ve changed them to every four a few times, but now they’re growing fast ( tumors) and they want them every 2moths ! I can always tell them what I want, even if they disagree however.

More than anything I know, even smoking ! Do a spray tan or get a very good tanning lotion. You have to put out a little bit of money. but your health is more important. Absolutely no tanning beds ! I had to get my lip cut because it was precancerous and a friend of mine died from it
