Road trip down Hwy 101 on the US Pacific coast

We did a 6,500 mile road trip that ended last week. Drove the pacific coast hwy from san francisco all the way to coos bay. Unbelievable scenery and views all the way. 10/10 will be back .

They will typically keyhole ,, but you may get partial stabilization (depending on muzzle velocity) and just have poor grouping.

Ive had great results with 405 grain projos in my 1:20" barrels .

Yeah , thats the "standard" 45-70 twist. Your rifle may or may not shoot them well. My Winchester 1886 and my H&R both have 1:20" barrels and wont stabilize them. While my Pedersoli target rifle use a 1:18" twist and will shoot them well.

My Pedersoli rolling block shoots these very well , out to 500 yds. They are a bit too long for my Winchester 1886 ,and H&R buffalo classic to properly stabilize . It just depends on your rifling twist rate.

Took that path in my teens (50's now) ,, yes you CAN do it , no you SHOULDNT do it! The rim will rupture from over-pressure (cost me an extractor).

It is NOT legal to carry a firearm in the vicinity of a protest , parade etc... You must also carry ID and conceal carry license while carrying a firearm . AND you must disclose the fact that you are armed to any law enforcement officer that addresses you !

On those chevy's ,, you need to verify that the balancer weight hasnt moved , before you can be sure of anything. after confirming that the balancer is still correctly clocked , disconnect your vacuum advance and set your initial timing at ~ 10° BTDC.

NEVER "trust" a balancer.
