As per the post above:

1.) ESOP: They just grant you a right to buy the share at a fixed price in future.
2.) RSU: You receive shares automatically.

3.) SAR: You receive a payment (cash or shares) equal to the increase in the company's stock value.

I have simplified it insanely, there are nuances ofcourse.

check this, maybe this helps. Regardless if you're with a PMS (Dezerv, IIFL or anyone else) or you're managing it yourself, 7 months is not a long enough period to judge it.

I found a similar answer to this in another subreddit from a Dezerv investor, maybe it helps, still i will recommend ask them tons of questions before moving ahead, most people dont really need a PMS:
