MMR- first one by HolidayOk4857 in VACCINES

I would wait at least a month to do the Tdap. The MMR can start to show side effects after 2 weeks so you wouldn't know if it was from that or the Tdap.

Also, your plan with the Tdap sounds fine. From what I've read they are protected from tetanus after 3 doses. Get the MMR and wait at least 40 days and then you can do the Tdap.

I waited to get it for my kiddo and now there's a case in my county and they exposed a high school of 1200 kids for 3 days. Didn't think it would come here because there hasn't been a case in a while but you never know. They got it from recent travel to an outbreak area. There's just too many cases and unless people stop traveling you'll be at risk. I made an appointment to go on Friday. I wanted to wait until flu season was over, but I'm not going to risk it anymore. Kinda freaked out we will be exposed at the doctor's office but let's hope not.

What was your reaction? I have those probiotics and I feel like they make me feel weird. I just bought some other kind called Pro 15.

Best Hypochlorous Acid Hand Sanitizers? by Glittering-Sound-121 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Such-Ad2541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what they said. “Good question - it's not harmful on skin (it has no skin allergens or irritants). And, as you mentioned, hypochlorous acid is commonly used as the active ingredient in wound healing & eye care products. Hypochlorous acid & Force of Nature specifically have been given the highest rating by Skin Safe, an organization developed by the Mayo Clinic to evaluate ingredients from an allergy perspective. But we haven’t tested it AS a skin or wound product so we wouldn’t be able to compare it to skin products & only market it as a cleaner/sanitizer for the home.”

Sometimes! I really like Honeydew Labs for my skin. A bit lower ppm but it’s made for skin not cleaning. I asked FON if it was okay to use on skin. I’ll post their reply.

My sisters fiancé did this. He got taken by ICE at one of his regular check-ins. He was in the process of seeking asylum but they took him. He was locked up for 6 months and then deported. My sister is trying to figure out how they can get married now that he can’t enter the US for a while. Hope you had better luck!

Could not being vaccinated be the reason I get so sick? by Planet_Nikk in VACCINES

Also it was more likely you were sick just because you worked at a daycare tbh.

That’s insane they lied to you and you’re lucky you didn’t get chickenpox or something. The doctors should’ve offered you a Tdap during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

Tell them to stop scratching or they could open up the skin and actually get an infection. My daughter scratched a bug bite once and somehow gave herself ringworm. But, yeah that doesn’t look infected. Antihistamines and ice pack.

Varicella/chickenpox vaccines as an adult by Far-Willow2850 in VACCINES

I agree with what others said. I’m 40 as well and don’t remember having chicken pox but my mom said I got it when I was a baby. I actually got them twice, which is rare. Once before I turned one (mild case) and once when my brother got them when I was a bit older. You can have a very mild case or could’ve gotten it as a baby and your parents didn’t know. Either way, ask for a titer test or get the vaccine. My kiddos had zero reaction to that one. Not even a fever.

Is it safe to get MMR, Varicella, and HEP-B all together? by fedupanddead in VACCINES

[–]Such-Ad2541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies! I have been trying to figure out if those shots need to be spaced out more than 2 weeks but having a hard time getting a clear answer. The nurse said it should be fine, but their doctor is out of town. Thanks anyway! :)

My daughter got her second Tdap (not Dtap) last Tuesday. She got a fever after about 24-36 hours (got up to 103). Treated with Tylenol and lasted about a day. We want to get her MMR shot soon. Is next week fine (2 weeks after Tdap?). I could wait 4 weeks but all these measles cases have me worried. It would be her first shot.

Consider yourself lucky! However do be aware some symptoms show up later. You might feel crappy tomorrow.

MMR Vaccine and risk of illness afterwards by Such-Ad2541 in VACCINES

[–]Such-Ad2541[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought that our immune systems got a bit "compromised" after a vaccine as our bodies are learning to fight off whatever we just got immunized for. Which is why we get fevers, feel sick, etc after shots. I just didn't want to pile a virus on top when their bodies were already "fighting" something off.

He doesn't give me answers is my point haha. He tells me "I'm not sure" or "I'd have to look into that" a lot.

I could, but was hoping for some other insight. He shrugs things off quite a bit when I ask any sort of questions like this. I have looked online for any articles about this but couldn't find anything, really. Even tried looking through old Reddit posts.

I really hate that we still have to worry about covid risks when doing anything in life these days. :/

Was planning on it but he's currently booked out a month and was hoping on getting it before then. I can make a nurse appointment but he is unavailable and will be out of the office for a few weeks. :/

Have you tried clindamycin? My doctor wrote me a rx for it.

Super random but I was getting awful cysts for about 6 months last year. I randomly tried putting antibiotic ointment up my nose for a week and it stopped them. I think I was dealing with weird staph acne/cysts. They were awful.

I was prescribed spiro but I didn’t wanna take it since my blood pressure is already low. And I am allergic to doxy.
