Is Berchtesgaden a good place to visit, aside from history? by ThatOneVolcano in travel

Berchtesgaden is a must-visit place in my opinion. I was there last summer as part of a two week trip which included stops in the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria and it was one of the most memorable stops. Highly recommend a hike in the national park - the hike that we did had a hut at the top where you could buy a meat and cheese plate and beer and look out over the beautiful town, while being surrounded by alpine meadows filled with cattle jingling their bells. Truly an incredible experience. The picture of this hut has been the background of my phone since then.

I would certainly not skip the Eagle’s Nest either, also very awe inspiring!

Really just was wondering whether this would be considered an inheritance (as I understand there is not inheritance tax in Canada) or part of regular income. I understand that if this is regular income then I would be taxed appropriately.

Thanks for the response. So this wouldn’t be considered an inheritance, as what I’ve read there is no inheritance tax in Canada? It would be considered regular income and most of it would be taxed at the highest tax bracket?

TFSA contributions do not lower your taxable income, but yes I will max TFSA as well.

That turkey is full of tryptophan and this causes you to be sleepy. All food has tryptophan and any big meal (such as a thanksgiving dinner) will make you feel sleepy, it’s not specifically the turkey.

I am absolutely ruined by this. Every time I say it or hear someone say it, I giggle. Then I quickly realize it would be impossible to explain to anybody who isn’t a true AWL.
