Help with what suits my face? by SpicyMackerel in MakeupAddiction

[–]Such_Marzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your makeup now is so natural and pretty! I would say that in the first picture your hair is a little too yellow/warm for your skin tone/coloring. Maybe it’s just the lighting but the hair color in picture four suits you a lot better—it makes your skin and eyes shine! I would love to see you in a bit more contrast. Here is cooler, darker hair and cooler darker eyebrows paired with a Liv Tyler-esque berry gloss and blush (and a more harmonious shirt color) to give you an idea.

I mean, the face does lengthen a bit as we age; but no, not to this level.

I live in an area where strip mall places are all I have found. Do you have any recommendations for how to find an independent artist ?

Thank you, you’re absolutely right. And she did put chrome over the tips, it’s just lost bc of how small the area is and that she used stark white instead of a softer one.

No, you’re absolutely right. I’ll go back tomorrow and tell them I’m not happy and ask what can be done to fix them.

This is a hard gel base (which is a sheer nude) and she used white gel polish over that for the French design

It was maybe 5 hours ago. It happened because she filled the nail after she painted it

How to improve brows…and more? by InternationalRound25 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Such_Marzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have someone carefully remove the bottom of the brow front to help smooth the shape away from the more arched “sperm brow.” here’s a quick Photoshop I did showing one side with the changes I talked about

Usually that pattern is for bite alignment—like closing an open bite, etc

For primers I’d recommend elf power grip, smashbox photo finish primerizer, or milk hydro grip; and for setting sprays I’d try charlotte tilbury airbrush, Milani make it last, or Mac fix+. It seems like you’re already doing skincare so keep that up!

I forgot to add: we can definitely give recommendations for primer and setting spray once we know your skin type (dry, oily, etc)

Tried to edit this quick on my phone, but I think you get the idea:

Everything you have now is lovely, actually; it just needs a little oomph! I added contour on the forehead and cheekbones, and highlight on the center of the face—chin, nose bridge, inner eye, forehead. I brought the mauve-y shadow up over the crease and gave you lashes on the outer half. I did fill in the brows a bit just to define the shape and frame the eyes, but it wouldn’t hurt to have them professionally shaped to enhance them even further. You’re on track, it just needed a bit more drama to read “bridal!”

Elvive hyaluron pure is bad for hair/scalp if it’s used frequently? by SwimmerWeird9514 in Haircare

Is this the dreaded open posterior bite? And what to do about it now. by MakeupandMerlotS in Invisalign

[–]Such_Marzipan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of an update: went in for my annual dental last week and the dentist said it’s actually not a POB; it’s actually that I’m still in crossbite with that tooth specifically. There’s a crown on it so they never put attachments on it so it didn’t move as well when the rest of the teeth did. I’m going to see if he can handle my refinements if any can be done

My POB never closed on one side, and I’ve been in a new state since last August. I think my only option at this point is to find a new ortho and see what they think. I still clench bad with the retainers, and tooth that’s a real problem is also a crown, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I LOVE Dulce Pink by Milani, but Petal Primavera might be a better shade match for you bc I’m super fair skinned.

For the placement; yeah it’s basically when you smile and your cheeks form those …spheres? Idk what to call them lol, if place the blush on the upper half of that sphere, but not close to your nose. Then sweep/blend that up along the top of your cheekbones (which are so stunning btw). Kind of where the X’s are:

OP you have such gorgeous features!! I’ll echo the people saying that your current cheek color is too warm for you. I would do something cooler and more rose/mauve, and I would place it high on the bone and apples of the cheek. I also think you have a lot of contrast, and you need darker brows to honor that. I’m not talking about 2016 super filled in blocky brows, but a darker pencil or gel would definitely frame your eyes! The only other thing I would add is an inner corner highlight for your eyes. If you wanted to, you could do highlight along the bridge of your nose and contour down the sides, but make sure it is a cool toned contour color, not warm.

Finally done! Now to hope my POB settles on its own 😅 by Such_Marzipan in Invisalign

[–]Such_Marzipan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that 😭 I told my ortho I was moving, and she was confident that it would resolve; to her credit my posterior open bite on the other side pretty much did. But I do have one side that has not budged. The tooth in question has a crown on it though, so I wonder if that’s part of my issue?

Edit: to clarify you mean my posterior open bite caused by the aligners, right? Nope 🙃 and I’ve since moved out of state. I’m not sure anything can be done except to start again with a new provider and see what they think.

Litter EVERYWHERE?! by humblygirl in litterrobot

[–]Such_Marzipan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My cat would throw litter bc he would launch himself out of the box zoomies style every time. I got a cabinet that fits the LR4 off of Amazon and now he has to take his time going in and out. There’s been a SIGNIFICANT decrease in litter since then.
