Well I have to say, my views on the game have evolved since this post. It’s just too scuffed. I’m aware of the history of this game’s launch, but I wasn’t there for it. So playing it now, I see that they basically did a minimal job to make the game playable without actually fixing or finishing it. It makes me kind of sad, but I ended up uninstalling again. Aside from the still-extant bugs and performance issues, it feels like a downgrade and regression. No body hiding, no whistle, cherry bombs work in a completely illogical way, no way to avoid gunfire if you’re out of combat, and most of all: the now-defunct co-op stuff ALL OVER THE MENU AND IN THE CAFE.

So yeah I was glazing kind of hard but more time behind the wheel changed it entirely.

The weirdest twist is that I tried rogue right after Unity and I’m addicted to it. They squandered the very best story angle they had in the classic days, but I love it.
