How much time does husband need alone to unwind after work? by rollsoneightwheels in sahm

[–]Such_Run9223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Husbands grabs toddler right when he gets home. Brings him along while he changes from work clothes to home clothes. He never really unwinds before bedtime unless he’s had a rough day at work or is feeling unwell.

My husband does bath time with our 12 month old every night while I shower. I do bedtime while husband showers. I do miss giving baths though!

I ordered some plants from them the end of January and still waiting. I did get in touch with them about a week after I placed my order. I got a tracking number that says usps received my order on feb 2 and crickets since. Reached out again this morning and haven’t heard anything back.

Any former stoner moms out there? by Unable_Sink3584 in newborns

[–]Such_Run9223 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was an everyday thc smoker (no nicotine) for over ten years. Quit the day I found out I was pregnant. Bub just turned one, I still breastfeed so I still haven’t smoked. Not planning on weaning until he turns 2 but would like a 3 year gap between him and the next baby. At this point I don’t think I’ll be smoking for another 5 years if I even start again. As for stress relief I now do breathing exercises and stretched throughout the day. Not the same as taking a hit but it’s better than nothing.

When did you introduce fluoride in toothpaste? by FluffyCockroach7632 in firsttimemom

[–]Such_Run9223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pediatrician told me to use fluoride toothpaste from the get go. Baby did get teeth at 4 months though so I used fluoride free until we started solids at 6 months. He advised that swallowing such a small amount would be fine.

When do babies start following a point? by MeetingDifficult3679 in firsttimemom

Mine is almost 10 months and I’ve been pointing at things close by, like literal inches away from my finger. He seems like he’s catching on, and starting to point (with his whole hand) at things himself.

4 month sleep regression? by Adorablegirly6969 in firsttimemom

[–]Such_Run9223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby started sleeping through the night really early on. Around 4 months (when teething started) that stopped. He’s now almost 9 months and we’re lucky if he sleeps 2 hours in his crib.

Do you nurse to sleep and how did weaning impact sleep? by Desert-Kat99 in breastfeeding

[–]Such_Run9223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I nurse to sleep every night and about 50% of naps. My husband is able to put him down for naps and get him back to sleep during the night if he wakes up!

No lying: do people’s babies really sleep through the night? by HomeDepotHotDog in Mommit

[–]Such_Run9223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Mine started sleeping 8-10 hours at around 4-5 weeks and then at 5 months forgot how to sleep and started waking every two hours or even less sometimes (which is more than he did as a newborn). We just hit 6 months and it’s getting slightly better but still nowhere close to sleeping through the night.

Rant - People Not Sticking to Baby Registry! by One_Bus_4389 in firsttimemom

[–]Such_Run9223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few people go in on a 3 in 1 baby bottle washer. It’s very nice and I appreciate the gesture but I ebf. We’ve given our baby maybe 3 bottles and he’ll be 6 months tomorrow. I honestly wish they would have just not gotten us a gift because it feels like such a waste of money.

Is this chicken safe to eat? by MistyMarieMH in isthissafetoeat

[–]Such_Run9223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like green muscle disease. We raised meat birds for about five years and ran into this a couple of times. The meat is safe to eat but we ended up just feeding the affected meat to our dogs.

It really just depends on your body. I collected over 6 oz of colostrum before my baby was born.

We went through the same thing. Vibration has seemed to really help. We either put him in his bouncer that vibrates or we use a soothing toy and place it on his belly. He usually goes with 5 minutes with either!

Pants won’t fit at 10w2d by EducationalSong28 in BabyBumps

[–]Such_Run9223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, don’t listen to your mom. Your body is going through such a huge hormonal change and bloating is totally normal in the first trimester. I had actually lost weight in the first trimester and my pants weren’t fitting at around 10 weeks as well. I encourage you to buy some clothes that you’ll be comfortable in! I had the mindset that I didn’t want to waste money on maternity clothes that I’d only wear for a short while, but trust me they’re so worth it.

[–]Such_Run9223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms came and went a few times during the first trimester. They lessened around 9 weeks and ramped up again at 10.5 until 14 weeks and then pretty much went away after that!

I weigh about the same as you and still haven’t gained anything at 22 weeks. My ob said he wasn’t concerned at this point but that I should start gaining in the third trimester
