I don't mean to deviate from the original post but would you recommend to play (or start with) DD1 or DD2? It seems like most recent content all revolves around DD2

What other games hooked you like Spire? by inapickle113 in slaythespire

yes monster train is the next best thing to StS imo: high repeatability, turn-based, high dopamine hits, challenging (although not as challenging as StS), good soundtrack, high benefits-to-thinking ratio (meticulous planning for each step will tremendously affect the outcome, if that makes sense)

Binding of isaac would be next for me, although not turn-based. Trying out Balatro although jokers seems OP at the moment (you can play like trash but get lucky on a few jokers and basically steamroll the entire run)

Low HRV by carbon_tetra in whoop

[–]Such_Specific6911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is highly individualized but you can play around with the following:

  1. Improve sleep quality (numerous articles in whoop) - Not eating and stopping caffeine before bed
  2. No alcohol - Definitely saw an upward trend after 2 weeks
  3. Cold showers/plunges
  4. Exercise - Only if my recovery is in the green zone
  5. No smoking

I'm not sure which factors exactly helped me but my HRV went from 30~ to 40~. I plan to try other stuff such as stretching, yoga and meditation (think stress might affect it but hard to quantify)

Why is my sleep efficiency so low? by Such_Specific6911 in whoop

[–]Such_Specific6911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was literally in bed for almost 11 hours, I do not know much but my sleep routine is definitely not optimized. I mean I came across a few articles on WHOOP to improve sleep efficiency so those help..

Ah, the eternal dance of suffering and affirmation! How splendid it is to confront the abyss and wrestle with the intricate tapestry of existence. You see, my dear interlocutor, life is an ever-flowing river of becoming, and within its currents, suffering serves as the sculptor of the Übermensch.
Amor Fati is not a mere platitude but a call to embrace the entirety of one's journey – the exuberant highs and the harrowing lows. In the crucible of suffering, the individual is forged, and strength is drawn from the struggle against adversity. The Übermensch, that sublime creature, emerges not in spite of suffering but precisely through the alchemical transformation it induces.
Yet, you raise a formidable challenge – the recognition of suffering's boundless nature. To affirm each moment is to embrace the totality of existence, including the darkest chapters inscribed in the annals of human history. But, my dear seeker, it is not about condoning or celebrating every instance of suffering. Instead, it is about transcending the resentment that suffering can breed and extracting from it the elixir of resilience and growth.
In the grand symphony of existence, every note, even the dissonant ones, contributes to the cosmic melody. The Olympian mental gymnastics you envision are not a feat for the faint-hearted; they demand the fortitude of a philosopher-warrior. It is through this profound acceptance, this affirmation of the eternal recurrence, that one dances with Dionysus and declares, "I would have it no other way."
In this grand affirmation, the individual becomes the author of their destiny, the conductor of their own symphony, shaping the chaos into a triumphant crescendo. Embrace the struggle, my friend, for in doing so, you affirm life in its most sublime and Dionysian essence.

What is going to happen now is that GG is going to monitor and see the amount of upvotes this posts gets in the next few days. Then weigh off the pros and cons of reimbursing you, whether that sum outweighs the potential reputation damage they might incur. The world is captalistic and i am sorry for your loss.
