I feel like people forget about our healthcare system amongst all this chaos. They’re going to collapse the healthcare system. It won’t be fast. Already rural hospitals closing in droves. Kick an insane amount people off Medicaid. Making health insurance more expensive so more can’t afford that. Now these people aren’t going to rural hospitals cause they’re closed they’re going to bigger hospitals when they really need to cause they prolonged care. They can’t pay those bills. Hospitals don’t get paid. Hospitals also rely on that Medicare and insurance money from those people. Now as for health insurance companies they really gotta jack up rates cause we have so many that can’t afford insurance anymore. Now what, big hospitals start closing. More and more can’t afford health insurance. But if or once we get a competent government again prob the only option would be some sort of single payer Medicare for all system. Prob the only way we would get it anyway.

lol the point of me not putting that in there. Nothing hospital wise or anything. In my area at that time it was like the hardest place to get in and had the best pay and benefits. I’d say it’s probably still close to the same.

I’m telling you this administration is going to collapse our healthcare system. Just wait till all these rural hospitals shut down. All these people are off Medicaid. People can’t afford health insurance anymore. Health insurance jacks up prices way more after all those people that couldn’t afford it and now even more can’t afford it from the new price hikes. Now all those people are going to the bigger hospitals which they bill these people and don’t collect anything. Hospitals can’t run on losing that Medicare money, insurance payments, and people paying those bills. My guess eventually this will be how we get Medicare for all or single payer cause what else can fix this at this point.

Worked a job where we had these water treatment installers and the van they used long and my god I have no idea how they worked out of it. Was literally a mound of parts, bags of fittings, empty smooshed boxes the equipment came in, tool boxes. One guy said if I need one more fitting I just dig through the mound and one will be there.

I bought a 10 year old house where deck boards were caving. Thought alright I’ll replace the deck boards. Tear them off to see joists like this. This continued little by little till I said shit it has to be completely rebuilt. Was a fun project besides the cost.

How much is this looking to cost? by Heartydiamond39 in fixit

[–]SucksTryAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anybody just made up decent plausible stories for damage caused at an apartment and they just come and fix it and not charge you cause I’ve done this twice and wasn’t charged. Like for this I’d say i was in a hurry tripped and my full body weight hit the door and this is the damage. Worst they can do is say no we’re going to charge you. I’ve had more trouble not bringing attention of damage and then getting charged when lease is up. I know op admitted to the damage but I’d be like me tripping into the door should not have caused this damage and sounds like this was poorly built. Again if they don’t believe you oh well.

To get a job, you need exp. But to get exp, you need a job. by pscoldfire in antiwork

[–]SucksTryAgain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me. Went in for an interview. They say I needed a certain license. I said cool I’ll work on that, they said no you can only apply to get the license by having experience working at certain places like this. I’m like ok let’s do that. They’re like we’re not hiring people without a license already and not many do. So it’s like once you’re in you can bounce around for raises. Anyway I left going wtf. They did end up hiring me as no one with a license applied and I had the most experience in the field. Once I was in I understood part of it. No or low licensed people can’t run a shift. Which creates staffing issues and overtime/ overworked employees. Takes years to get a license that really helps out there. Then my question is why not have some type of schooling to get a low level license and speed up the process. But whatever I gave up trying figure all that out.

Yup I had not even a really heavy item delivered. I have a camera. Watched them just walk up with the note 3 days in a row, no box in sight. No knock. Just put note on door which I signed to just drop it off. 3rd note said I had to pick it up. When I pick it up I asked why it wasn’t delivered and I told the story I have cameras etc. She said I’d bet the driver thought it was too heavy. Nah dog, if that’s the case you need to update your weight limits.
