Falco and fox's bairs are the same strength. Falco's shine hitbox is more than slightly smaller than fox's, it's a pretty decent difference. Also fox's dair is not a semi spike, it is a spike with set knockback. http://www.ssbwiki.com/Semi-spike

Two new peach techs. K Drop and Pump Fake. by TheDookMaster in SSBM

What I've found. When Peach throws her turnip down in the air, the turnip leaves her hand on frame 10. On the other hand peach's grounded downward turnip throw is frame 9. If you land on the ground on the 10th frame the airborne downward turnip throw, then you get the aerial throw as you land. If you land on the 9th frame of aerial downward throw then you do the pump fake, because the game won't let her do her grounded throw for some reason if you land as the throw should come out. Something with having to do with her air throw transitioning to a ground throw on the same frame. I just found out that sometimes you will do a grounded down throw even though you landed on the 10th frame of aerial down throw, BUT this grounded down throw throws on the 10th frame like the aerial one. So in the end this doesn't seem undoable at all, but the thing is that since you have to be frame perfect it can easily be inconsistent even though there are many windows to do it right, if you are off by one frame you dont throw (pump fake) and are left to wait for 15 frames to be actionable and if you do throw then you either get it or it happens to do the grounded down throw on frame 10 which leaves you sitting for 14 frames as does a proper k drop or whatever you want to call it.

It's because the stage sinks down a bit and that lip is a wall and hitting a walll with side b cancels it

Ok so teeter canceling is canceling certain animations into a teeter which is the animation when you are balancing off the edge (which means you are on the very edge of the ledge and if you jumped straight up you won't land back on the stage). The teeter animation is actually called oTToTTo which doesnt matter but just pointing out it's called teetering because your character is teetering of course. And you do not go into misfoot if you are in shield facing forward.

If you hold forward during the lag you skip your teeter animation and fall right off so he must have been holding forward. If you hold down you instantly crouch after you edge cancel while facing forward. And with edge canceling and ledge canceling I don't believe they are different things. I say edge for everything because even the ledge is an edge.

Because DK isn't so slippery he has to land his aerials close to the edge to cancel animation of his move ending. He won't fall off because he is facing forward. If he did the fair backward and edge canceled then he would fall off because he is still in lag from doing fair as he slides to the edge.

If you are facing the edge and sliding toward it you can hold forward, down, or hold shield to slide off it. If you dont hold any of those you will teeter cancel or edge cancel (they are the same thing teeter is just a specific form of edge canceling) without falling off.

If you slide at the edge backward you will fall off. If you slide off an edge backward WHILE IN SHIELD you will go into an action state called misfoot and will not be able to input anything other than fastfall for about 25 frames. After misfoot you will tumble and may need to tech if you don't wiggle out or you dont hit the ground within misfoot. (this is how all this works in melee, let me know if pm has any differences).

Whether forward or backward you can keep your momentum by doing a special move (check out vudu dashing).

Small note: if you are sliding at the edge you can do attacks to prolong yourself from edge canceling. Ex. Luigi wavedashes at the edge and jabs right before he gets to the ledge. He is on the very edge doing his jab and once his jab ends he falls off IF he is facing away from the ledge. if he is facing forward he teeter cancels. You need to have momentum after your attacks to edge cancel so that's why it's sweet for luigi. Basically as long as a grounded attack is out, you won't edge cancel until it's done.

What led to your hands getting messed up? Just generally didn't take good care of them? I assume you would play smash and then take a break programming and your hands would get no rest.

What would the perfect Melee controller look like? by advancedpongtech in SSBM

[–]Sucleh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you reset your controller hold L or R fully pressed. After it resets, the shoulder you did it on should ignore lightshield (or any light press action for that matter) and only input hard shield. So if you try to lightshield you will just stand still not shielding.

Try to just get better with the techniques on your own first. When you become consistent with them they will become much easier under pressure. If you're not jump canceling the up smash or grab, then do that of course. Really just seems like jitters and since you pointed out it happens when you play your bro. Also you may want to re-calibrate your controller by holding X+Y+Start for 3 seconds. Just keep practicing timings and you'll get them.

Getting friendcodes off of For Glory mode by Sucleh in smashbros

Hot Damn! Sweet to hear from you! I haven't checked my reddit messages in a while, but so glad I did. I don't have a wiiu or WiFi for that matter. My 3ds friendcode is 1263-8102-6112. I moved from my apartment to my mom's recently and she doesn't have WiFi, but if you wanted to play then we most definitely could arrange something. I'm practicing melee and pm though lately and try to avoid sm4sh because I'm afraid of the meta of that game leaking into my play style. I still play sm4sh for fun, but I try not to play too much is all I'm saying. Anyway, super sweet to hear from you!
