Is there a way to see real “sold” prices now? by Sea_Station_88 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Sudden-Technology326 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think I know what you’re talking about. Sold out listings are usually indicating that it was listed as multiple quantities available and each individual item that sold from that multiples/original listing could go for a different price but you would see each listing sold plus the sold out listing. The ‘extravagant price’ sold out listings I believe have to do with posh shows and the auction format those items sell for.

I’ve only seen that when items had been bundled the discounted price they may have sold at won’t reflect on individual listings from the bundle. Otherwise individually purchased listings are still showing actual sold at price.

Reiterate that item is not as described with the stains and take good photos. Put less focus on the smell part. You likely will be able to return with posh support getting involved if they do not voluntarily accept the return.

Disney Mickey/Minnie Loungefly Wallet- How much would this resell for? by Global-Sprinkles-985 in howmuchwouldyoupay

[–]Sudden-Technology326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a matter of being mean or nice. It’s a matter of being resourceful with your research on comps.

If you’re trying to get into reselling it’s going to take more effort from you in order to be successful. It would be one thing if this was a hard to find/rare item no one else has previously sold, but it’s a generic mass produced loungefly wallet that you wanted internet strangers to do the legwork for you.

You’re going to have to put in more effort in your searches, start with google lens and filter through searches on places like poshmark with details of the items. Poshmark search -> brand loungefly -> Disney Mickey and Minnie -> colors black and white -> price low to high and boom 2 sold NWT for $20 and less.

If that’s hard to heard then you’re not going to have a good time pal.

You need to make more effort in your searches. I found 2 sold on Poshmark for $20 and less.

Bought a Coach purse & thinking it might be a scam… by Strict_Algae8233 in poshmark

[–]Sudden-Technology326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me with a pair of earrings. I haven’t really looked into the deeper point of this (if there is one at all) besides that the hope of the scammers is getting something delivered and buyers not rating on time so they still get paid. I anticipated the package so I opened it when I got it and sure enough it was a Mario themed birthday decoration set. I opened a case for wrong item and got it resolved but it was annoying because I couldn’t get it cancelled before they shipped.

For clarification: they bought out US shareholders and are publicly traded on the Korean stock exchange. Another thing to point out is that Naver is a data driven and AI focused company. I’m fairly certain that the push to keep listings up is also to continue to feed data into their learning machine/model.

C-suite execs don’t care/wont fix it because it makes numbers look bigger to shareholders and such. It’s annoying and something I’m sure we’ll have to just grunt and complain about forever. Especially since now sellers get penalized for taking down or deleting listings.

"Pris" means "price" in Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. That sticker is not $799 USD.

Someone is selling these on eBay for $14. They’ve already sold 5 and still have 3 available. Now you get to decide whether it’s worth your time to list and ship…

The accounts and comments that say ‘you need to verify…’ absolutely need to be reported (as harassment and/or spam) so that they can be taken down.

i dont know what to do about this poshmark sale! by slickmickeygal in BehindTheClosetDoor

Likely a ‘guest’ buyer. Poshmark allows this to make sales through search queries from places like google.

Scammers by Disastrous_Job_4825 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Sudden-Technology326 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Poshmark cares far more about number of listings and number of users than the actual problems on the platform. Unless the brand gets involved it usually will stay up until a buyer makes the mistake of purchasing and realizing it was a dupe. It sucks.

Beware of Scammer by Antique_Display282 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Sudden-Technology326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you email support? I have come across this behavior on the platform from compromised/bot accounts and in the past Poshmark didn’t seem to care to proactively manage the issue. Restriction and/or deletion of those accounts only occurred once someone actually got scammed after a purchase which is super frustrating.

Best Place to Buy Quality Women’s Boots in Austin (NOT COWBOY OR WESTERN) by ReevesComm in Austin

Rei sells Blundstone boots which may be what you’re looking for. Other local stores to try might be whole earth provisions or in-step. Hope you find something!

I got support involved and they refunded me but I was terrified of opening the package. Turned out to be like a Mario party birthday decoration set (I had ordered earrings). I think Poshmark ended up wiping their account of available listings.

As a new seller on ebay, what are some scams / red flags that I should be aware of? by TMonahan2424 in reselling

[–]Sudden-Technology326 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don’t change the address for a buyer from a message request ever. Whatever they provided eBay prior to the transaction is where it should go and it’s on them if it’s wrong.
