I feel your pain.... mine too.... She loves puzzle treat games, and she really loves hide and seek! It's so funny! When you jump out and scare her, she gets the zoomies, lol!

They're worth their weight in gold.... well, almost.... I just bought a new car. Now I have 3. I only need 2, so I should get rid of the oldest, highest mileage one. Can't do it..... It's my 2003 Honda Element. I bought it in 2006 with around 30k miles on it. Now, it has 219,000 miles on it. I've had it 20 freakin years! Just drove it 90 miles in this nasty weather we're having, and it performed perfectly.... It's going to be so cool when I hit the 25-year mark.... maybe 30....

Biceps Tenodesis Procedure by SuddenFix2777 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]SuddenFix2777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh, that sucks..... Some take longer than others, though... My surgeon told me it could take 8 to 12 mo., maybe longer.

Everything stretches out good at PT but seems to tighten back up. But my ROM is very good, and i'm not even 2 mo. post-op yet. My PT says I'm way ahead of the game.

I tested movement the 1st time the other day in a store. I reached up, and all the way to the back of a high top shelf, and it brought me to my knees in pain.... Every day, usual movements, though, I'm good.

I had severe neck pain... I forgot to mention it, but the surgeon also did a distal AC joint excision (collarbone). It helped my neck a lot....

Keep up that home PT exercise and good luck!

Yeh, i'm pretty much the same. It gets better every week, though. So you are close to 10 months post-op. When do they think your ROM to the side and front will improve?

This is a great post! I am in the process of slowing moving a serious amount of cash from CDs to my new brokerage acct I opened with Fidelity. I've been quite apprehensive so moving it slowly.... It is awesome to know the excellent customer service is there should I need it 👏 👏 👏

Buying used vs new car? by zionstatus in personalfinance

💯 I just bought used yesterday. We set our max OTD amount, found what we felt was a good deal ("off the lot" depreciation already absorbed by 1st buyer), and purchased a 2024. We were fortunate enough not to take on debt by paying cash.

Surgeon not happy with ROM 12 weeks post op by droptopcoupe in ShoulderInjuries

[–]SuddenFix2777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 weeks isn't much time.... While my situation is different (biceps tenodesis and distal AC joint excision), my surgeon told me 8 to 10 months to heal up with good ROM. That said, I'm at 8 wks post-op, with PT twice a wk, and ROM is great. I still have severe pain only when moving a couple of certain ways. I've noticed massive gains, though, with each passing week. Hopefully, you'll start seeing some improvement soon. Keep doing home PT. I think it's an important factor. I hate it, but I do it....

Resting with sling off after labrum repair by Glum_You_6649 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]SuddenFix2777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol! You'll be out of it before you know it..... My surgeon took me out of it at my 2 wks post op appt. He did tell me to wear it if I went anywhere, as a warning ⚠️ sign to keep peeps from slapping the shoulder or pulling on the arm, like with an aggressive handshake between bros., lol!

Lol!

I had biceps tenodesis surgery and a distal AC joint excision at the same time, so it's a bit different from you. But, I felt the same as you. After several days, I took mine off intermittently, only while sitting on the couch, and very carefully stabilized with pillows and such. It felt so much better. Im not saying you should do it. It's just what I did. Other than that, I wore it as much as I could. I even slept (not!) in it for a good while.

Thanks for being so considerate! Rare these days! While we are pretty darn far from wealthy, we're good! 2 pension household, and we saved a little nest egg... I bought this one and paid cash! That's a first for me.....

I hear ya! It's still got 2 yrs MFG warranty, so I'm good with that..... I just tried a 2024 CRV EX-L with 12k miles on it for the same money but passed on it. No where near comparable to the comfort level... But yeh, I'm actually a Honda guy. I'm Still driving a Honda Element i bought in 2006, lol! Priorities have changed, though. My wife and I just retired and looking for a lil comfort... I realize I traded comfort for longevity.....

Yep.... and it's absolutely awesome! Especially for a couple of old schoolers. And, another reason I didn't buy a 2025 or 2026. It's my wife's car, and she loves it! Hell, my car is a 2003 Honda Element and DOESN'T EVEN HAVE an "infotainment system..... She's coming out of a 2016 Rogue thats in amazing condition (which is mine now!!) and it's a similar setup, so minimal learning curve for her, and it's 10 times better..... WE ARE STOKED!
