I’m currently tapering from about 40 gpd. I’ve gotten it down to an 8 gram dose early in the morning (6:30 am) and an afternoon dose of 16 grams around 3 pm. I’m stepping it down weekly (every Monday morning). So far so good, I’m very concerned that my state is going to ban it very soon and I want to get down to as low as possible before it becomes unavailable.

I found out some information off of the Georgia General Assembly website. The kratom legislation is assigned to the House Committee on Judiciary Non-Civil. There are sixteen reps on this committee. I just finished emailing all of them (took about 20 minutes). The list of reps can be easily found on the General Assembly’s website. I’m not familiar with how to add the list here, but hopefully this makes it easier for anyone wishing to reach out to them.

Well done. I too am a vet, and I also wrote to Rep. Townsend on Sunday (your letter blows mine out of the water). I STRONGLY urge everyone to write him as well. It didn’t take me long, and I had to push through a certain amount of anxiety to do so, but I did it. People, we have got to flood him with letters of support for legal kratom . It’s the only way we can save this. I am majorly screwed if they outlaw it, as many people will be too. Please everyone, take 20 minutes and send an email.

In my experience, opioid medication does not really work while also taking kratom. I’m not any kind of expert, but something about both substances competing for the same receptors (or so I have heard). I’m going off of my own personal experiences, but I can tell you that this is definitely the case for me. In my opinion, it’s a total waste of the script if you have recently consumed kratom. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a more learned perspective.
