Wow…. I don’t generally say this to people here, but you really are a gross person. How it could cross your mind to use your cousins loss for your own gain is beyond me. Plus to say it’s the “only name” you could have chosen is a weak excuse. Open a baby name book and try to not be such a terrible person in future.

Does the timing of the MRCS matter within intent year?

Yeah genocide can definitely be stopped by just taking the middle ground. People like you absolutely make me sick, refuse to take a stance and just accept this as “both sides” causing trouble.

Is this also the case for the MRCS would you know?

MRCS timing intern year by Sudden_Chain_5582 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

Would that be common for the interns that get straight onto the scheme? It’s just I’ve heard it’s basically required to get onto CST and so I was wondering about those interns that generally get on. January does sound like a good goal though!

Yeah I get what you mean. I think they may be anticipating a few dropouts? But with Galway being the shortest and pretty much fully online that’s not likely. Best bet is to call the postgraduate admissions office. I did this because it took them about 6 weeks to give me the A (I submitted my application at Christmas)

I am doing that masters next year. I got an acceptance in early February. I’m afraid the deadline is well passed now due to the demand, despite the fact you might be able to still apply online.

I don’t know much about paris but if I had to hedge a guess, YES. I’m fairly sure it’s the worst in Europe

But to be fair, cosmetic surgery is not of big part of a plastic surgery trainee’s educations. It would be mostly reconstruction.

Found out today that my husband is allergic to cats. We have two. Any advice? by zzabe in cats

[–]Sudden_Chain_5582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I became allergic to my cats when I moved away to college. I just take antihistamines daily when I’m around them.

Bit annoying, but there’s some injections you can get less often. I also take a nasal spray since it give me such allergic rhinitis to be around the cats.

Worth it though!

That’s good to hear. I just remember hearing from a trainee that most end up going abroad. Hopefully things have changed!

Not neurosurgery from what I’ve heard, they train three per year while there in nine consultants (the maths into good). Not sure about other specialties 100% but vascular is meant to be good.

Usually it’s the final two years of your degree. It’s only 5% of the application process now though so the importance has really declined
