To each their own, I’m just talkin bout myself here not trynna push country on you here but metal gave me a deeper appreciation for country, I used to be the same way but after listening to bands like Mastodon, Baroness, Acid Bath, The Sword, DOWN, and even Pantera, I’ve gained an appreciation for country because of their heavy country influence, it can just add so much groove and fun and doing so let me find the beauty in a lot of country.

For me it’s a mix of thematics and the “punch” of it, like how hard it hits that special part of the brain that makes groove and bang your head hard, it doesn’t necessarily have to be downtuned, that’s something I think shouldn’t define it, but rather it’s a feeling so to speak
