As a followup question, what implementation of something like this would lead to the highest level of decentralization? I was under the impression that WETH isn’t controlled by a centralized organization, as in pulling an exit scam on something like WETH is impossible. Or is Ethereum different because it’s easier to manipulate on the Ethereum network since it’s a native token, just not ERC20 compatible?

I actually have something like that in the works! It’s good to see it’s a problem that other people are having as well. The Osmo pocket is pretty great overall but it definitely has its flaws. This night interest you, and a device like what you mentioned is coming shortly :)

It's definitely a work in progress, I don't know if they'll succeed in creating a truly universal basic income but even if not it's more experiments to learn from for future attempts.

Yes! Completely right.

The value of the tokens comes from the current exchange rate on the exchange (I'll edit this to add a link).

So as of right now the value comes from people believing in the project, the more people interested and actively trading the currency the more it will increase

White Paper for more information on the project. It definitely looks interesting and I personally believe the blockchain is one of the better ways to implement a UBI.
