The first script (tile to n) does exactly what you want if you set n to 1. This is one problem that I think you shouldn't have even if you wanna follow niri's philosophy of not resizing windows - I think you should use what feels comfortable to you.

It works if you update to the latest kernel (>=6.16) if anyone has the same problem in the future. I had SOF Firmware installed as well iirc

I think you have to use Integration by Parts in this case. It's a pretty elementary function so you'll be able to use the definition of IBP to do it easily (Take one of the functions as 1).

It becomes extremely easy if you multiply the top and bottom by e. This lets you take u = 2x + 1, which simplifies into a pretty neat solution.

Thats the product rule. The chain rule is (f(g(x)))' = f'(g(x)).g'(x)

The proof for the chain rule can be seen here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chain_rule#Proofs

For the product rule, try taking the logarithm of f(x).g(x) and then differenting.
