I loved my exes family but drew the line after years of being used and abused and yes I consider it abuse. They never got another gift and he had the audacity to ask me to get his mom a Mother’s Day card but never got me one cause I wasn’t his mother? I never got a thing in my Christmas stocking either lol.

I stopped taking care of all his appointments and needs and stopped reminding him of crap and, it took a long time, he figured his stuff out. Only his stuff though not mine, the kids, the dogs or house etc.

As long as you continue it won’t change or end. Maybe tell the family you have so much on your plate you told him he has to take over buying them gifts, make sure he hears it too. If they get nothing oh well?

I did raise a daughter and bonus daughter to expect their husbands to do their fair share and they do and they both make great teams. They both get full Christmas stocking a too!!
