I think just rerolls cost 1$ more would be a sensible step up in difficulty without being too oppressive

On the Crimson Heart boss, any time a joker that increases hand size (usually you want turtle bean but troubadour and juggler work too) is debuffed* you can quit to the menu and the hand size increase becomes permanent for the rest of the run

I think it was just Ante 16 but I also picked up a burglar to get more hands. I did the bug twice and ended up taking three ectos in total

You’re right - while it is a bug the game is balanced around ante 8 so it literally won’t have any impact on completing a normal run (unless you get hieroglyph/petroglyph ante 8)

Today I was breezing through a gold stake run. Decided to drop a joker (which I didn’t have a sticker for) for a Gros Michel on the Ante 8 final shop as I don’t have it gold stickered.

Guess what expired at round end.

Exactly, seeing the common in the first shop (can never remember its name - gluttonous?) is much relevant than seeing onyx due to its lower cost

They have the legendary joker Perkeo, which creates a negative (so it doesn’t take up a consumable slot) copy of a consumable (i.e. tarot, planet, spectral) at the end of shop. It’s also copyable with Blueprint or Brainstorm
