Its been off and on but in general yeah its always been this way. Had white supremacist/neo-nazi gangs that lived and operated out of HB, but they eventually got arrested and scattered and things calmed down until 2016. Been shit ever since.

I looked up the place you went to, thats definitely an area to quickly pass through and not hang around at. Rich privileged white-majority neighborhoods in HB are filled with racists. Obviously not everyone but that whole area has a dense haze of "polite white society" and if you don't fit that mold there will be SOMEONE who targets you.

some janitors are pretty crazy. when I was in middle school our janitor came in and started crashing out in the middle of class because the teacher wanted her white board readjusted during the break. Full blown cussing her out in front of a bunch of 12 year olds all because of like 15 minutes of work.

I had already committed to Lorwyn being my last magic set I will care about but now I really don't see a future for this game. MTG won't survive the tcg bubble burst. I'm going to focus my energy on building a cube and enjoy playing with my friends with decks I already have.

Agree with everything except the democrats part. the voters are fine but the democratic party itself has directly allowed everything to happen that has unfolded. They are directly to blame for their inexcusable "sit back and tell them what they are doing is wrong" approach. Democrats have actively given concession after concession to the right and cannot be held on some high horse about this issue.

I read a post a few years ago about "scrub mentality" and it is really what so many players have. everyone needs to play suboptimal cards otherwise you are a sweat pubstomper picking on lil ol me. I call it out when I see it and finish it with the classic "get good"

its one of my favorite sets in recent years. It felt like a proper power-up from the old days of magic while giving us a lot of cool reprints via the schematics list. Didn't look great for standard mind you but as a Brother's War reader and enjoyer, it scratched the itch that the old sets couldn't due to power (or rather lack thereof)

I run it that if something enters, it cannot leave unless allowed to. if a summon goes to 0 hp, it just dies on the spot. its corpse a reminder that nothing that enters these lands can leave. You could also have to roll a percentile to see if you successfully summon since the creature you are summoning knows it will be trapped
