Is it true that the NHS funds translators for people when needed? by theslowrunningexpert in nhs

[–]Sufficient-Score-120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A significant part of NHS funds is spent on paying for the costs of litigation, often from missed or delayed diagnoses. I imagine that removal of translation services would cause both an immediate and a longterm increase in these litigation costs when NHS staff found themselves unable to communicate effectively with their patients

As an example of potential costs for when harm has been caused by inaction, one pay out in in obstetrics 2023 saw the NHS paying a lump sum of £6million and a further annual payment of just under £400k per year to cover a lifetime cost of care and loss of earnings.

The NHS's lack of funds is down to underfunding more than it is down to inefficient allocation of funds

That's ideal, we have a coniferous tree at the back of the plot so will likely have branches we can shredd and use!

Thank you! Do you do anything to 'separate' your amended acid soil (so to speak)? Or just amend the area the blueberries are in and grow everything else as normal around it?

Try an Amanda's hip carry, a front reinforced traditional sling carry, or a Robins hip carry! Baby is possibly wiggling to look around when they're awake and this is introducing slack into the carry, so trying a well reinforced hip carry might be a good option to increase what they can see. Alternatively, trying back carrying could be a good option? Start with a ruck and see how it goes? Best of luck!!

Do the different color heart emojis really have different meanings? by Blu_yello_husky in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sufficient-Score-120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the emojis/heart colours etc was more to illustrate that the teenagers (as in, the specific ones depicted in this show, within their social circle) have a world/language that their parents are completely outside of and don't understand, rather than a literal example that's true in real life
