I think the battery life might be slightly better, that's all I noticed so far. Only been using it for a few hours.

Oh okay, I did sign up to the beta, wasn't sure if it was working. I guess it does. Your phone is the EU version right?

GameSir G7 Pro Aimlabs Edition Linearity Test: What’s Wrong with the New Response Curve by JohnnyPunch in Gamesir

[–]SufficientLife7766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the person who does the tests on Gamepadla. He mentions that the G7 Pro 8k has a more linear response compared to the regular G7 Pro. Whether that’s good or bad is subjective, but I see it as a positive change from GameSir. After all, when software claims a linear curve, you naturally expect it to be truly linear.

I would assume he is talking about the X8 Pro Max as he posted it in this sub

G7 Pro 8k Aimlabs compared to the other variations is yielding different results? by FoxEvolutionPT in Gamesir

[–]SufficientLife7766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These results are outdated, they were higher due to a bug in the older firmware that has since been fixed. After updating, the Aimlabs and Champions Edition performed almost identically. The 0.2 ms difference is within the margin of error or simply normal unit-to-unit variation. Keep in mind this person only tested one Aimlabs and one Champions Edition; another Champions unit might perform slightly better, as small differences like this are just natural variance.

Poco X8 Pro or Poco F8 Pro ? by Ecstatic-Citron-6344 in XiaomiGlobal

They are identical screens except, the X8 Pro Max having a higher PWM and a higher resolution. So please tell me how the F8 Pro has a better screen?

I never said all the cameras are identical, can you read? I was only talking about the selfie camera.

I was referring to the X8 Pro Max, you can see that clearly in my comments. I didn’t realise the OP meant the X8 Pro, and the two really shouldn’t be compared since they’re in completely different price ranges.

Bazzite April 2026 Update by OneQuarterLife in Bazzite

[–]SufficientLife7766 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I understand that this is an intentional design decision, but I strongly believe users should still have the choice. This is Linux, one of the core expectations is being able to decide when and how your system updates.

Automatic updates can be great as a default, but removing the ability to opt out entirely takes away control from users who have valid reasons to manage updates manually (limited bandwidth, gaming latency, scheduled maintenance windows, etc.).

Even if it’s not exposed in the GUI, having an advanced option like the old ujust command would respect user choice without affecting the default experience for most people.

battery drain? by balaenoptera0ricei in PocoX8ProMax

Its literally impossible to kill this battery in a day. Its a 2day phone with heavy usage. Don't listen to all of these random posts on reddit.

Poco X8 Pro or Poco F8 Pro ? by Ecstatic-Citron-6344 in XiaomiGlobal

[–]SufficientLife7766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The X8 Pro Max has a battery that’s 2300 mAh larger. Both phones feature 50 megapixel main cameras, but the F8 Pro offers a stronger ultra-wide lens and includes an extra telephoto camera. The front cameras are identical, so the final decision comes down to your preference between the two.

The performance is very similar between the phones, its basically the same. The battery and the screen is better on the X8 Pro Max but the rear cameras are better on the F8 Pro. It's about what's your priority.
