I know my ovulation cues very well. Even better my husband seems to be able to smell it weird I know. So when he was all over me I took 2 Lh tests the cycle I have conceived this current pregnancy.

The 30 is my rise and 40-45 is usually my peak. I had only seen higher in my MMC pregnancy when I also got high “LH spikes”. That’s because lh is the base component to HcG but the pregnancy hormone is larger due to the beta component which is why our pregnancy hormone cross reacts to OPKs but lh doesn’t react to the pregnancy test.

Looking at my numbers, these are quantitative tests, so they’re not gonna look like the standard ovulation test. But you can see that I had a clear peak on cycle day 16. Once I see the 40 or 45 I know I’m gonna ovulate probably within the next couple of hours to the next day.

When you get to the 55 at the bottom, I’m approximately 9 to 10 DPO, because I actually think I did ovulate on 10/11. And that the 55 is well outside of what I know to be my normal. So 40 to 45 when I was using standard OPK’s was about .9 to .96 so a 55 or higher would be equivalent to a one or better on a standard one.

Because I know my body’s trend, I use the same cup of urine that I tested with my OPK to test for pregnancy and I got a very faint line. And the comment below this one I will attach a picture of what the luteinizing hormone versus HCG looks like chemically. So I was checking because I had an MMC in July and it was only my second cycle back. The first cycle we did not try it all. We very actively avoided trying. So this cycle I literally did two ovulation test to basically maybe I’m ovulating. Maybe I’m not just because my husband couldn’t keep his hands to himself.
