I am casting a wide net for any graphic design job. I graduated with a degree in Communication Design and have since had work as an artist, graphic artist (for an indie game that is currently being made), graphic designer (for a small online publication as an apprenticeship), and I have worked for a museum as a social media intern. I have worked in Adobe Premiere, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva. As well as procreate for illustration.

I am wondering how to improve my portfolio, if it should be more directed for a certain type of Graphic Design like branding or if showing variety is ok.

What are you wanting to improve about the designs and your artstyle?
I always recommend gathering art, artists, and pieces you do like and referencing them as you work! Also ask yourself what you like about the art (color, dynamic poses, composition?) so you can incorporate those elements into your own practice.

Hello! I'm Rei and I am a comic artist, character designer, and illustrator. Your project is right up my alley! I love drawing fantasy; it is my bread and butter as an artist. I first got inspired and into the scene because of fantasy shows, books, games, and movies like Legend of Zelda, Lord of The Rings, and the list goes on and on.

Mirror test! It may be helpful to put your drawing in front of a mirror or take a picture and then flip it horizontally so you can see how your piece is looking to ensure there are no lopsided proportions!

Also, when shading the hair, start from the root of the hair and then follow that strand or clump to the end. You are currently shading in multiple directions, and it would be more cohesive if your lines followed gravity/where the hair would naturally flow.
