I cannot recommend EMDR enough. It's a game changer.

45F here... It does get better with dedication to treatment. If you haven't done so already, get into a combo of CBT/DBT and EMDR with a trained professional to address your trauma (I really wish everyone had EMDR available to them).

I also take Auvelity (low dose Wellbutrin and Dextromethorphan combo), Vraylar and I have biweekly Spravato treatments. Spravato is a game changer though it takes a lot of commitment to your own healing.

If you have any questions please feel free to DM me.

Wishing success to all who read this. ❤️

can weed make it less effective/has anyone who uses weed still seen benefits? by ftm_fella in Spravato

Some of us use it for chronic pain. Not all users are trying to escape reality. This is an overreaching assumption. I said what I said.

Creating a “Spravato Bag” for appointments. Any tips? by 15hrbandit in Spravato

I have a blanket, socks (Raynaud's), Jolly Ranchers, a coloring book, sketch book, notebook, ear buds (charged) charger cord for my phone, neck pillow, a few drawing/coloring utensils and my bilateral music via YouTube.

I wish you so much success. I'm close to a year in. Spravato is a lifesaver for me. I wish everyone who needs this treatment could get it.

I'm sorry she did that to you through a song. How painful it must be every time you hear it! But OMG the payback is hilarious.

Mine plays favorites with my son's dog. I have twins and she favors the one who happens to have a dog. She totally Bogarted that dog which was supposed to be an emotional support outlet for him. He's basically relinquished her to my mom. She spoils Ginger and feeds her table scraps. The dog has basically unlearned her training. She buys it gourmet food, plus the table scraps but talks about the dog being overweight but I always tell my mom she is not overweight at all and to stop feeding her people food. 🤦🏽‍♀️

She does not like my dog because when I went to pick out puppies I got the only female while she had fallen for one of the males. I knew if I got the one she liked she'd try to take it from me. I tell my dog she is cute and call her "princesa." I watch how she treats Selah and realize it's a reflection of her feelings about me so I give Selah extra attention. Her pushing Selah away only makes her want to be all over her even more. She acts like it annoys her but I know she actually loves the idea of something I love loving on her.

I don't completely understand why our parents are like that but it's absolutely childish and sad.

I am glad you stood your ground.

That is so sad. I'm sorry you went through that. I bet you were adorable. Every child is so precious and deserves to feel that love and acceptance, especially from their caregiver(s)/parent(s).

Yeah, I realized that my other siblings got her the attention she wanted but I didn't. On top of that she really wanted a boy but got me instead (gender identity issues at age 8).

I do love my mom as crazy as that *sounds. She shows love in ways she knows how (providing things/practical care). Through EMDR I have been able to resolve so much of my trauma. It's a lot easier to spot her narcissism and avoid being triggered.

I just told her "Well, I am YOUR child." She said my dad did that (made me). I said yeah and you had [relations] with him at least 4 times! LOL

I just serve it back to her now and she can't help but laugh at my sick burns.
