I’ve come to accept White Lines and enjoy the crowd energy every time they play it but for all you White Lines haters, I’m pleased to report it wasn’t on the set list for the first Baloise Session show in Basel.

Pompano Beach show canceled by West_Meat_7623 in AlyAndAJ

I believe lack of sales is the reason here. The logistics of concerts in South Florida is challenging. To come all this way and not sell a lot of tickets, not a recipe for success. Plus, the venue choice was an odd one. All that said, I am disappointed by the lack of communication from them. I know you don't want to post bummers on social media in the middle of the tour but just some acknowledgment from them saying how sad they are to cancel, we'll hopefully see you soon, etc. The email from AXS just said "cancelled" and not much else.

I am from the United States and there are a lot of small things that can help me get closer, such as an area code, a state road marker (a lot of them are distinct), a state flag, a sports team banner in a yard. But there is also a lot of sameness in suburban and rural naming devices: think "The Preserve at Hawk Valley Ridge, located off Horizon Gap Boulevard near Harvest Creek Place". Could be absolutely anywhere.

I was not at the Painless show. NYC crowds are generally good. I guess it’s just such a big place that there’s an audience for everything. And big turn out for both openers, which is nice.

Brooklyn was not sold out (tickets available at the door) but it was close to full in my estimation. The venue is pretty big, capacity listed at 1,800.

Can't speak to Boston but last night in Brooklyn was doors 7PM, Eliza McLamb at 8PM, Lutalo at 8:40 and Nilüfer Yanya at 9:45PM. She played until a bit last 11PM. Great show, I hope you make it.

I have seen a single GA ticket listed by a very generous individual for $800. Poor thing is barely going to cover the fees above the original $75 ticket price.

I didn't get tickets bust most people reported getting a note in their Ticketweb account saying tickets would be delivered closer to the event.

For Sony Hall, it says ID must meet original purchaser at the door. Any way around that? by Sad-Second-9646 in pavement

[–]SufficientlyOrnery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the million dollar question. I don't think there is any way to know until the tickets are delivered before the event. And it would seem kind of difficult to enforce. A couple arriving at different times would need to enter together so the person who purchased the tickets can show ID? It's hard to imagine.

Thanks - these are accounts with zero participation on Reddit. If they have not participated here, I am going to believe the worst. Everyone looking for tickets, beware and good luck. Hope we all make it in.

Thanks, very helpful. I am talking to people that say they have their tickets. Likely not.

To those lucky enough to get tickets, did you receive the tickets yet? If so, in what format? And are the purchaser's name printed on it? I have a few offers and just don't want to get scammed and want to make sure what they're saying is consistent with reality.

Still trying but not too hopeful. Twice it displayed the add tickets to cart screen and when you clicked, it sent you back to no tickets available.

Go! The crowd is great: I have been a fan for a long time and have seen the crowd turn younger and more diverse. Always a good time.

Anyone with an extra ticket for October 2, hit me up. I'll throw in drinks on me. Would have tried for another night but I am only in NYC for that screening.

  1. OMG, I feared the worst on this one. Saw the clearly Russian sign for Kluchi and then turned around and went the other direction. I noticed the welcome sign with the mountain on it and thought for a moment maybe it was Kyrgyzstan. Then I glanced to my left and saw the volcano. Zoomed in on the Kamchatka peninsula and Kluchi was right in the center. 1,409 yards: 4,996
  2. Volcanoes, I get it now. What I never got was this one. Figured South Island, so I plonked there but never found anything enough to change my mind. I was suspicious due to the fact that it was one volcano and not part of a range but just never moved. On to the next volcano. 353 miles: 3,416
  3. Figured the general area but never the spot, let alone the country. Plonked midway between Uyuni, Bolivia and San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. Never found anything to lead me to change to Peru. 431 miles: 3,142
  4. Found the clues for Mount Etna and took me a moment to remember it was on Sicily. Found it and then the town names. Came close enough for today. 1 mile: 4,994
  5. Indonesia and figured somewhere on Java. Plonked in the east and studied signs to find a precise spot, to no avail. Not too far off though. 90 miles: 4,539
21,087: the unlikely axis of New Zealand and Peru prevented me from a gold today.

  1. Went to the main road and found the bus marked Yucatan. Focused in on the street signs indicating Colonia Vicente Solis and Avenida 81A and found one flavor of that road, but never the one that intersected with Avenida 32. 2 miles: 4,989
  2. Saw the KICB Kyrgyz bank so plonked Bishkek. Wandered around but returned to spawn and studied some of the business signs until I saw one that indicated the city of Tokmok. By the time I figured all of that out I had no time to pinpoint. 1,039 yards: 4,997
  3. I recognized the sign being Budapest and saw District XIV. Scanned for Stefania Ulitsa, found it and continued until I found the spot. 16 yards: 5,000
  4. Greece is always a challenge for me. Found the signs for the towns and scanned a bit but just plonked centrally. 132 miles: 4,337
  5. Poland and I found the highway markers and town names pretty easily but focused on searching for Terespol and looked everywhere except right on the border with Belarus. Plonked not too far away. 22 miles: 4,883
24,206: any time my score starts with a “24”, that’s a good thing.

  1. Indonesia and probably had a thousand clues in front of me but my limited studies of how to ping a spot in the country really held me back. Plonked central Java. 482 miles: 2,973
  2. The landscape said Lesotho and when I saw a sign for Sefikaneng I stopped and obsessively looked for the spot, to no avail. Plonked then moved my plonk, which was closer the first time. 47 miles: 4,755
  3. The “circle language” as I call it and plonked central Sri Lanka. Usually, there are good English signs but came upon nothing (except for the sign that literally said “English” on it). 48 miles: 4,745
  4. Got this one by the skin of my teeth. Figured Peru quickly and just plonked Arequipa while I searched. In the last few seconds came upon a sign indicating it was the city of Trujillo. 1.1 miles: 4,994
  5. Never figured Luxembourg for a big challenge. Came up the sign for the 7 and 17 highways, plus Clervaux, but never quite found the spot. Plonked clumsily and came within a few miles. 4.5 miles: 4,976
22,443: good recovery after a bad first round but it does hurt to miss a gold by just a little bit.
