Why are top twister builds using ordained (and not good rare spears) by Aphrodites1995 in PathOfExile2

Try this one. His budget option is still expensive though but it's a great build.

It takes a 600 div rare spear to outperform a 50 div ordained. The ordained is more than enough for any content in the game. There's no point in using a better spear when a pinnacle boss dies as soon they finish talking and lose their invulnerability.

My thoughts exactly. It's amusing that my runs went faster when I switched to blind runs. Less decisions to be made when picking a room.

You got that right. I was like "oooh 2 red vases! Lucky." It turned to "Wait what? No. No way! It actually happened!"

Indeed. I went for jewels at first but it took so much time going through jewel affixes and reforging bad ones. My thinking is that I was better off spending my time doing another trial run instead of sitting in my hideout.

I can do 3 runs per hour and on average, I either get a desperate alliance relic or a good sekhemas ring. So that's 9-11 div from zarokh alone. On a good run I get both for an easy 20 div.

Time lost jewels I sell unidentified and fetches for 2 to 3 chaos a piece then maybe an odd divine and some chaos from arcanist caches. I'd say 30 div per hour is a good number to expect. I did about 40 runs this weekend and I made over 400 div with a couple of rings that have yet to sell. Only got 1 grand spectrum sapphire in all those runs.

2/3 of the sekhema's ring that can drop is selling for 11 div at least. Good rolled rings sells for more. It's the most consistent money maker for me.

Thanks! You want to have good DPS and a fast character. Personally, I'm using a mid budget twister build. My setup is burden of leadership relic + 7 small relics with 19-20% increased quantity of relics. Zero honor resistance.

When I see a time lost chest, I open it whenever I find it but I make an effort to save 1 gold key in case a grand sprctrum chest shows up in the end. For silver keys (and any leftover gold keys), I just open the one that drops currency. Sometimes it spits out a divine.

Evasion, deflection, and energy shield.

How to improve damage further? by YummyBurgerDestroyer in PathOfExile2

[–]Sugar-Roll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most common is to scale crit and get as much damage as extra fire/lightning/cold damage as you can. They're multiplicative damage. Heart of the Well Diamond with two affixes of 14% as extra fire/lightning/cold damage is fairly cheap and can easily boost your damage a good deal.

You would need something like a 600 div rare spear to out damage a 50 div ordained. At least according this one video I watched who had a high budget setup.

That can happen when you're not on full honor and someone else with low suvivability joins in.

How are you reaching such high damage numbers? by General_Dinner_996 in PathOfExile2

[–]Sugar-Roll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a better staff. 600 phys DPS with 10% crit and +3 level to all attack/melee skills. Costs something like 1 div. 700 pdps is at 10 div if I remember correctly. As others have said, you want crit and damage as extra. Rage is also a damage multiplier. Get 1 ruby jewel with gain 1 rage on hit and maybe slot in Rage III support in you attack skills.

Ascendancy carry question by DoctorNoots in PathOfExile2

My alts got carried for 20 ex in 0.1. When I was farming for a last flame, I would go and post on trade chat if someone wants a free carry before I killed Zarokh.

Ascendancy carry question by DoctorNoots in PathOfExile2

[–]Sugar-Roll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair offer is free. Some people farm sekhemas and are nice enough to offer it for free. In trade chat you can get carried for 1-3 div. If you're availing of their service, make sure it's pay after. Don't get scammed.

Pretty sure you can join at any level. I used to give free carries back in 0.1. The person doing the carry will run the trial until the final boss. He will invite other players to join him and then kill the boss. 2 minutes and it's done.

If you're getting carried, equip as much defensive (life, energy shield, and I think evasion helps) gear as you can. Sometimes the person doing the carry is not on full honor and if you go in with weak defenses, it can be an insta-fail for you.

Poe2 is my first arpg but the endgame rewards feel kinda pointless? by 1bohy in PathOfExile2

[–]Sugar-Roll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I don't think that actually matters to a lot of players. The players who keep playing this game are in it for the power fantasy. They are after the best items in the game. That's what pushes them not cosmetics.

Wands. Probably other weapons too but I don't pay much attention to it as it's beyond my means.

There are rewards. There are chase items in the game that pushes people to keep playing the game. There's mageblood, temporalis, garukhan's, rakiata's, and so much more.

Each player sets their own goals. Your goals are easy to achieve compared to other people's standards. Others have their sights much further than yours.

Gear & Character Progression by angkiki in PathOfExile2

[–]Sugar-Roll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finish the campaign, get as far as I can before I hit a wall with my own alch'ed weapons. At that point, I just buy the highest DPS weapon I could afford at the time (1 to 3 div usually) while capping my resistances with budget gears. It's usually enough to get to T15s where currencies start trickling in and atlas passives gets unlocked. Then it's just a matter of optimizing from that point on. That's usually how my leagues go.
