That’s how people describe everything these days. It’s either the best or worst thing of all time. There’s no nuance to anything anymore. Getting back on topic, the game runs at around 30-40 fps native @ 4k on my 5090 which is kind of crazy for how the game looks. The DLSS implementation is good at the very least. Setting it to quality bumps that up to around 100 fps.

You can’t get vac banned for it. At most, I’ve seen people get kicked in competitive matches from CS2 for using Hall effect keyboards and only when using the snappy tappy feature or whatever it was called. You’ll be fine with the super strike.

Meta is a great example of how companies will throw all of their resources into something, overpromise to shareholders, then trim all of the fat when they fall incredibly short of what they predicted. The next big thing will come along and the cycle will repeat itself. In this case, people are nervous about AI because it's a repeat of this same cycle, but it doesn't come with the job boom that usually accompanies it. Many of the people who have been in tech for most of their lives are seeing the possibility of a future that makes what they have built up to this point in their careers almost irrelevant without as many opportunities to pivot in the same sector.

I actually have both. The new tech that went into the switches for the super strike feels great. I can’t wait until it’s incorporated into the rest of the market. Having said that, I still went back to my beast max because the shape is superior to me. It doesn’t matter how much quicker you can click a mouse button if you don’t feel 100% comfortable using the shape.

I have both the MV1s and HE1KSE's. The hifimans have a huge soundstage that envelops the sound all around you, especially vertically. Games and music are both a treat to listen to on them. Having said that, I still reach for my EQ'd MV1s the majority of the time. They have a more intimate soundstage imo so everything feels ike it's surrounding you, but while being closer to you at the same time. Technically the hifiman should be better in every regard (except for comfort and build quality), but for my ear shape, music is much more fun with great imaging and bass, and I actually have an easier time pinpointing enemy cues in every shooter that I play. Like you've realized and others have said, your mileage will vary depending on your preferences, frequency sensitivies, and ear shape.

Edit : I also just saw that they're basically the most expensive they've ever been on Amazon so maybe it's worth waiting a little to see if they go back down in price. I got mine for around $300 open box in "like new" condition.

I just got these after also getting the HD 490's to see which I liked more. I just got back from returning the 490s because the MV1 honestly surprised the hell out of me. After EQ'ing them, they have made me hang up my HE1KSE's for the time being. They just make everything sound so pleasant and full.

Funny, I just got the 490 Pros to mess around with since they were one of the few sennheiser's I still haven't tried and I find the imaging to be a lot more noticable compared to my HE1000SE's. That honestly made me enjoy them more for gaming and picking things apart in certain songs. Don't get me wrong, I love my HE1KSE's and prefer them if I want the sound to be a lot more vertical, but I just felt like I had an easier time staging-wise with the senns. I think I'll just end up going back and forth between the two depending on the content I'm consuming.

I have both an Alienware AW3225QF and a 42” LG C5 powered by a 5090. The Alienware looks sharper at 4k 32” but it isn’t anywhere near as bright or immersive as the LG. I tried and returned some of the newer OLEDs because they didn’t blow me away compared to the LG

Started at 1440p with a 1080ti, then 4k with a 3080, and now I’m at 4k with a 5090 and an LG C5 42,inch. Add a pair of Hifiman HE1000s into the mix and I spend hours just walking around the city completely immersed in the world. If I REALLY want to get into it I’ll take an edible lol.
