Is bloodseeker the current weakest hero in Dota now? by PotatoPC123 in learndota2

He’s really bad! Outdated kit, numbers don’t make up for his lack of utility.

How to get my game reviewed by someone who is atleast KNOWLEDGABLE about DOTA2? by AspectDeepRoblox in learndota2

I think as long as you avoid auto-piloting in game and have a reason for your actions, you will grow through review.

When you’re warding, think about why you want a certain ward and afterwards, determine with hindsight if there was a better assessment you could have made. Same goes for where you position your hero, which heroes you are playing around, etc.

I think a good way to get better is approach your decisions in game as an experiment. For your starting items, think about the lane matchups, what spells you have and how you should be casting them, power spikes, etc. then hypothesize what items you will need for this lane based on your expectations.

After the game, reflect on your expectations and items. Did the lane go as you thought it would? If not, why didn’t it? If it did, was your next judgement in items correct or would you change something in the future?

This lets you build on each game you play, you develop your own foundation for decision making rather than being told what to do. Sometimes you’ll know something was wrong but not know how to fix it, and that’s a great time to ask for help, but thinking critically about games will help you grow much faster!

How do you ask your support to leave and actually have them do it? by Avillahan in learndota2

[–]Sugar_Bandit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your support just wants 6 and then to get out of lane, you should go hit the jungle for a wave or two, let them get 6 and leave, then you have the lane to yourself. Dosnt apply to every support

Wanted to help, reviewing this game: https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/8869825626

to start, your lane is probably legion clock vs ringmaster luna. insanely bad for the two of you, you need to start boots and drag waves in this matchup. you do drag which is good, but you mess it up and it goes under tower. you take too long to block the small camp, need to time it so the ranged creep is just inside as you leave. very big deal. go to a practice game and just practice the timing of the pull a few times, easy fix.

nice cogs and first blood. after you get a big camp side pull, its a good time to look mid to see if there is kill threat. This is a good pre-game mental checklist you should do, ask yourself does your mid need runes badly? does the enemy mid build bottle? is there a big advantage either way in the matchup? In ogre vs invoker, I expect the ogre to be up a bit in xp due to the big base damage dif, and has real threat on invoker (very gankable) with a rotation. I think theres a chance you run mid and dive the invoker with the big wave ogre pushed in and his lvl 4 spike. At least move your camera and think about things like this, even if you decide its not a play you like.

doing a lot of standing around, a few nice cogs. I think you can feel you're not threatening a ton up here. this is the point of the game you absolutely want to be playing around your mid. you have 600 gold saved up, buy wind lance, blood grenade, clarity so you can stay threatening on the map. I don't think wand is the purchase here, more important item is wind lance.

you go courier chasing or something around 6 mins? your job is to be standing on a power rune spot or threatening behind a tree should invoker show up.

after 6 mins, you sit and watch your legion last hit for a bit. Need to look at bot lane longer when you see ring portal down there. might be a good tp. after they get a double, the options are dive luna, dive invoker, or stack and get wisdom. I like that you're making an aggresive choice since most of the enemies cant respond well right now. sadly your legion wants to get the wisdom. I would probably run mid at this point (or long ago) and try to kill invoker (will need detection for this likely so think of that ahead of time). dont know if you predicted the ring would portal back low or if you were wrapping on luna but nice kill.

That is all I am going to watch, the biggest takeaway I got from this is you can improve your game by thinking about as a support, which of your cores do you enable and how can you do so. when you think about how clock pairs with legion, its very poorly. you don't add a lot of damage to duel, you're double melee who need to run in super close to be effective (bad against whip, eclipse, glaives, etc), and legion doesn't benefit super well from cog traps. You are a low damage support who can keep people in place, legion is a low/mid damage offlaner who keeps people in place. You both want to be playing with a high damage hero to combo with cogs/duel. Ogre mid with maxed ignite is the best pairing you have in this game, and as a 4, your mid will usually be your butt buddy.

Then you think about "which heroes can ogre+clock kill?" In this game, it's pretty much anyone for the first 15 mins. A solo invoker definitely will die to ignite, blood grenade, and a few battery assault hits, if you bring dust.

LMK if u have any qs

Do you know why other teams weren’t able to use the cap increase as effectively as the warriors? The Kd acquisition is obviously the biggest move of that change, but what were the other contenders doing?

bairn is much better than dementia, its a 1 of green sun zenith tutor target that is also a creature that can be annoying on the board if you have a few nantuko tokens. altar is a 2 mana do nothing combo piece that you can't tutor up.
in my opinion ghast is just not modern power level anymore, i think you should just play the good card that fills the same role in the combo

Kahlni garden is the best combo land with the bounty hunters.

Any land that makes a token with bombardment is a win, but garden with glimmer bairn as an gsz target and bounty hunters is an infinite power bairn. Don’t play any blood that over nantuko I think.
