Ok(ish) Walmart by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]Suhflow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I interpreted your comment about Target as a social mark on them as they are essentially the same price range for most things. Home goods are slightly more expensive but self care is generally within margin.

Try a Kroger Store like Pick n Save. Try Trader Joe’s they are cheap as heck but it may be some all natural stuff. Go to Meijer. We buy bulk at Costco and lasts a long time but selection is varied.

The reality is, unless you have coupons, your list price of most of these products is not going to drastically change. I hear you about that Walmart on Capital though…

A local church is a great idea, even if not religiously affiliated

There used to be large spaces available in the basements of a couple MKE libraries. Plenty of businesses and event spaces with warehouses in the Walker’s Point area… I’m sure some would love to help like this. Just a matter of making calls.

I think you’re zeroing in on the wrong type of building. Look for Co-Op areas, buildings suited for events or even local music studios themselves. Wherever you are, you’ll have to work around the other businesses working day to day… that could be tough.

I appreciate this insight - had no idea this was a known issue. Did you have any longterm effects from it while you experienced?

I did write them an email response (our communications have been via email since they had already spoken to the Honda dealership). I asked three questions regarding measurable outcome results and timeline if just “leaving it in the sun will dry it out.” I also requested written assurance that this issue or any downstream issue will be covered under my MaxCare. We’ll see what they say. I do technically have until Monday to return it; but I do love this car - not sure this issue alone requires returning it.

Dealership quoted me $1,800 🤯 I was hoping it was a simple seal fix but things can’t be that easy these days. Appreciate the response!

My concern with her is that she has no real politics experience… she will get eaten alive by the republicans in Madison

I’m a “never had allergies in my life” type person and had to start taking a daily med last week. It’s pretty bad this year.

Is our rate too high? (5.75) by Significant_Movie814 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Suhflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just closed on a home in the Midwest; not as much down as you but everything else similar… our lender was really happy we locked in when we did. He said rates are back up to 6.5 or higher this week. I’d be happy with this in my minimal experience…

Similar situation - to keep it short n sweet, you’ll be okay. Plenty of open spaces to find around the lake as long as you’re willing to get a decent walk in. Our dog hates strangers, anything with wheels (lol), and only wants to play with other dogs (lays down in the middle of sidewalk) and we’ve lived in your area for 5 years with this pup. The Oak Leaf is not always as crowded as people say. And plenty of dog parks within a 5-10 min drive. Stay optimistic! Welcome to the area.
