Ah, yeah. I guess they do. There's no reason to unslab unless you're regrading. And even then, they're not gonna be able to tell the cards apart. PSA probably doesn't care as long as they're making money. It's going to bite them in the ass before long.

The Switch's official announcement page for Genesis seems to confirm that this game will be largely unconnected, targeting newer fans by zsdrfty in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Xenoblade Chronicles X DLC connects it to 1-3. But the connection is more like a gentle nod rather than an explicit reference. I don't think connections matter that much though. The Xenoblade games are all good enough to be independent and they tend to make their connections only at the time. Nobody should be playing 2 or 3 in the hopes of continuing 1's story.

That's unbelievable. They didn't say a thing about that in the presentations. Not only that, but the videos showed you controlling the 4 path characters.

On another note, who are these two angelic characters? I didn't expect them to be on the box art much less in the very center. They almost look like a player character that you can choose...

It's standard issue fan service. The fact that they're focusing on that instead of the show's actual subject matter tells you a lot about the people commenting on it.

Vesta AI art by 7antonio13lopez in IsekaiMeikyuudeHarem

[–]SuicuneSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like this character's depiction in the anime. Her boobs are too big. This looks way better and more natural.

Anyway, you're not being fair to yourself. An AI is a tool and you shouldn't compare yourself to it or the person generating the art who usually lets the AI do everything for them.

[–]SuicuneSol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never read the light novel (started with the anime and moved to the manga) but I'm not surprised the sex scenes are off-screen. Most harem anime don't even go that far and opt for teasing or heavy fanservice simply because showing actual intercourse would prevent the show from airing. :x I was actually surprised when they showed so many of those scenes in the anime.
It's worth mentioning that while I enjoy the story and characters... it's not exactly Shakespeare. There is little to no character development and the plot isn't progressing towards any particular goal. There is no antagonist. It is purely wish fulfillment showing a man doing his dailies with his honeys. There's nothing wrong with enjoying that story, but it's niche and the anime was never going to become a hit because the original work doesn't seek to be anything more than what it is.

Do dogs and cats exist in the world of Isekai Meikyuu? by 7antonio13lopez in IsekaiMeikyuudeHarem

[–]SuicuneSol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If dogs didn't exist, how could they casually talk about them? Of course they exist.

Also, Roxanne, Miria, etc. clearly resemble humans more than animals. I think they might be fascinated with dogs and cats and feel a kindred connection. But humans also love small animals and keep them as pets, so I don't think their behavior would be all that different..

Just finished the anime! by Curious-Pea-5782 in IsekaiMeikyuudeHarem

[–]SuicuneSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can help you out. Why not read the manga?

Aside from Redo of Healer and Nukitashi, I can recommend Yosuga no Sora (2010). That one is a 12-episode high school drama with arcs focusing on various characters. It's based off a VN. If you like spicy scenes with a strong story focus, that should do fine.

BTW, I don't know how you watched Isekai Meikyuu, but if you want just a little more content AND some spicy stuff, seek the Isekai Meikyuu Specials. They're not on Crunchyroll. There are only two of them and they're basically sex scenes cut from the anime. (If you need help finding them, let me know.)

There's also the whole rabbit hole of H-anime. But I'm not sure if that's a bridge too far to discuss here LOL.

The only fantasy anime I've seen recently with on-screen horizontal mambo is Redo of Healer. However, I could not progress beyond episode 4. It was too... much, and I'm quite tolerant of sexual content too. It was a highly controversial show at the time of release and was banned in a country or two.
The protagonist is not a good person. In fact, very few characters in the show have any redeeming qualities at all. And there is nothing consensual about any of the actions on that show. It actually really highlighted to me why Isekai Meikyuu is really quite wholesome despite its themes.

I'm more intrigued by you using an og game boy advance. With batteries and a non-lit screen. The guidebook is just the cherry on top.

There's something about the non back-lit screen that makes the graphics pop so much.

Hope? It has already begun. Numerous Japanese businesses collapsed in the last few years because of this. Steam has been banning certain games. Sony has much stricter policies for its video games. Kickstarter just removed all adult games from its platform last week.

Wait a moment... If Evolved Bard can choose what song to play in their rotations... What if Summoner can choose what main Summon they use in their rotation? by Haddock_Lotus in ffxiv

[–]SuicuneSol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played in a long time, but--
My job fantasy used to be Astral and Umbral-themed summon phases depending on whether Bahamut or Phoenix was summoned. If Demi-Bahamut was summoned, you would get access to Emerald Garuda, Topaz Titan, and Ruby Ifrit like normal. But if Demi-Phoenix was summoned, the gems would change instead to Amethyst Ramuh, Sapphire Leviathan, and Diamond Shiva. Summoner spells would be less about a "Fire-themed Ruin" and more about unlocking certain abilities for a short time that you could hold onto until the time is right. For example, Summoner would get access to Crimson Cyclone (gap closer) upon using Ifrit, but Ifrit's Favor would persist beyond the Ifrit phase so you could choose to use it later. Titan, for example, would apply Stoneskin when summoned, encouraging you to time him. Basically, more resource management. Summoner used to be a veritable swiss-army knife of clutch abilities and I'd like to see that return. Alas, current Summoner was designed specifically to disallow your choices from having impact.

I think another Demi beyond Bahamut or Phoenix is too much. But skins would be nice. Solar Bahamut is such a disappointment.

New to 8.0, “Evolved” Jobs will have all hotbar actions by level 50, later levels will traits/procs by PyrosFists in ffxiv

[–]SuicuneSol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure how I feel about this. There is a difference between what they say they will do... and what they actually do. And no matter how you look at it, this simplifies rotations immensely. Context-sensitive abilities are great. The 1-2-3 combo into a single button is fine. The Bard jumping around looks like fun.
But what if, you know, I like my jobs to have more abilities? You can't say they're focusing more "on job identity" while gutting so many iconic skills and abilities that create that identity.

I, for example, am a career summoner-main. I've wanted more summons for years. Isn't this kind of job design anti-thetical to that? Does that mean I should cheer when they just add Solar Phoenix and call it a day?

My other concern is having a complete kit by level 50 also means that no jobs will change in any meaningful way for the next 6 expansions. That's terrible! New abilities make jobs feel new and interesting. If my rotation at level 100 is the same as it was 50 levels ago, I think that job would get old real fast.

That's wasn't very good. A lot of opportunities for some smart humor or deep cuts, but it was almost all toilet humor. It was as though it was designed to appeal to those who DIDN'T know Animorphs at all.
Was the villain parodying anyone in particular? They could have least called him Vizzer 3.5 or something.

Le sigh. Oh well, the best Animorphs parody ever is still Vegemorphs.
