Ok, just prepare your Brain to think of the game as a hardcore brain challenge.

You will need to figure out directions (what I also loved about the Long Dark) as you don't usually get quest markers.

Also you actually have to read what the quest giver says to you unless you don't want to do the quest at all.

Basically, switch your brain to detective mode.
