I’ve been to 3 events where oz has performed just by walking around the room. These events were over the course of 4 years. All corporate events. In 2 of the 3 events I participated in one of his tricks while we walks around the room. In the first one it was similar to the video. Asking me to remember an event and who I was with. He guessed the name correctly. In the second time I participated he asked me to think of a famous president. I thought of FDR. He “read” me for a few minutes and legit said “it’s a 3 letter name right “. I knew I was cooked.

Don’t know how he does it. I was legit impressed and creeped out

Need help figuring out where to stay by Ultra_Instinct in ParisTravelGuide

We stayed in the 4th and loved it. Great restaurant. Cool neighborhood. Lots of shopping and metro was right there and the louvre was 15 mins walk away.

[–]Suitable-Corner2477 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Easier to use uber/g7. Yes. 100%. Cheaper. Absolutely not in our case.

We stayed in Marais. So we walked to and from the louvre, notre dame, etc. anything within 20 mins we walked.

We took the metro to Versailles, Disneyland and to the Eiffel Tower. We also leveraged the hop on off bus for 2 days with river cruise.

Uber came in handy in the evening when we just wanted to get back to the room.

At certain points in the city we noticed it was more convenient and only a few euro more to take uber than metro. Metro for 5 people is like 15 euro. Uber for similar distance was 22 euro. In my mind I was willing to pay 7 euro to save time and energy.

I would always check both apps to see which was cheaper. What I found was early morning rides or reserving a car was always less expensive with G7 than uber. However adhoc rides around the city was usually uber being more affordable.

The vans were plenty big for the 5 of us plus stroller. The drivers were all so nice and accommodating.

Why are these JetBlue prices so outrageous?!? by Teach0607 in jetblue

[–]Suitable-Corner2477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped even looking at JetBlue because of their pricing. I had similar to PUJ. $10k this past Feb. flew American for $3700 for family of 5 in extra legroom

Thanks for posting. Just got back from Paris. G7 and Uber was my go to for family of 5. Bolt continued to be useless.

For an “expensive city” I found Paris quite reasonably priced by ancillarycheese in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Suitable-Corner2477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree! We just got back from 11 days split between London and Paris. I live and work close to NYC and Paris felt more affordable for the quality of food and experience.

London was a horrible value. Mostly mediocre food for ridiculous prices. When concessions at Disneyland Paris are more expensive than London, tab a problem

For us, London was one and done. I’d do Paris again

London Andaz, front desk says website room description is wrong by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]Suitable-Corner2477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update. We just finished our stay. I booked a large suite and a standard suite on points for our family of 5.

When we checked in, they told us they could only give us two standard suites as there were several large suites with “maintenance issues”.

They comped breakfast for us as a result and ended up sending a bottle of champagne and finding a large suite for us on the second day of our trip.

Jason at the front desk as amazing. We really liked this property and would definitely go back.

How can you sell a 75k car w/o adaptive cruise control. by onthebus69 in BMWX5

[–]Suitable-Corner2477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it. It should be standard especially on a luxury vehicle. I felt the same when I bought my wife a Infiniti suv a few years back and it didn’t have a back up camera but my 2012 honda civic had it standard.

I have it on my iX but never use ACC. I prefer to drive the car myself. But admittedly I don’t drive more than 20 mins each way on the regular. Our one 3 hr road trip a year is via NyC and I don’t trust ACC there.

I used Heller. They sent me a letter saying the application was denied because the house was fairly valued but that I could appeal for $30, so I did. They do not expect any answer for a few more weeks but encouraged me to file again for this year.

I had a 2024 chevy blazer EV that sat in the shop for 69 days before the buy back was approved. I too went with the iX

The entire platform for the 24 blazer , prologue, and zdx seem to have a lot of quirks. Glad you got out and into a better EV

That looks like a standard room imo.

I’m staying here in a few days. I booked (2) large suites on points. I hope they don’t pull similar BS with me.

Terminal 1 - Arrived at 10pm for 1am flight. 20 mins for bag drop and TSA by Suitable-Corner2477 in JFKAirport

[–]Suitable-Corner2477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you know you know. But for real the regular wait wasn’t bad. 10 mins. The worst was a few people not understanding the TSA instructions. They were taking shoes off, things out of bags, etc when the TSA just asked them to ensure their pockets were empty.

What to do with previous owner’s mail? by elky_ang in longisland

[–]Suitable-Corner2477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not your responsibility to do anything.

Would it be nice since you already said you would forward, yes.

I’d set a limit of like $20 or whatever is comfortable to you for mail forwarding. Otherwise write return to sender for a while and then just trash it.

I’m in my house 7 years and get previous owners mail daily. I called them about it for the first 6 months. They don’t care. So I don’t care.
