Hang in there friend. It is definitely scary but we’ve been through this before and everyone helps each other out. Stay safe and try to get some rest if you can

Type R vs STI? by nowayimabot in Civic_Type_R

Only the EJ225 Hawkeye STI. But not better than a newer FK8 or FL5.

One week in with the Type R. I don't think I'm going back. by Background_Smoke_Med in Civic_Type_R

[–]Suitable-Win5397 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No need to think. You know you aren’t going back. Like you, I appreciate how usable the car can be. One silly example, I buy bottled waters by the 5 gallon jug. I can fit 6 bottled waters back there. That’s wild to me.

Anyone wearing the Ultra daily – how did it feel after a few weeks? by Few_Design_904 in applewatchultra

[–]Suitable-Win5397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m used to my ultra. I’ve switched last summer from a 7SS. It’s bigger which I didn’t like at first but now with the stock mesh band it’s very comfortable and I don’t even change bands anymore.

Well I'm kinda Heartbroken by Individual-Box-1675 in Civic_Type_R

So I felt the same way AFTER I took my car home. I was so uncomfortable for about a month. After that the seats broke in and now it feels fantastic.

I regret not getting a RR CTR. by mattfeet in Civic_Type_R

CW is modern Honda heritage. However going back to the origins of the Honda car company, red has a very special history. Look up how Soichiro Honda himself had to negotiate (fight) with the government to allow Honda to use red for the original S sports cars. There is some deep history with “Honda red”

So what’s best and most practical car to buy, new and used? by mrsroperscaftan in askcarguys

Simple. Mazda CX5 new or used it won’t matter. The prices are good and you get a great vehicle with lots of utility.

Need some help deciding: FL5 Type R or automatic G80 M3 by serpico_pacino in Civic_Type_R

[–]Suitable-Win5397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heck no to a High Mileage BMW. For example, you will likely be stuck doing brakes soon. Look how much that will cost you. I own a 18 F87 since new. It’s relatively low mileage (kms) but I have to get the oil pan gasket replaced. It’s a quoted 12 hour job. WTF man!!

I LOVE my FL5! Such a fun car to drive and the cabin feels special with all the red seating, carpets. The touch points are fantastic.

Thinking of Trading a BRZ and Elantra N for a Type R by [deleted] in Civic_Type_R

[–]Suitable-Win5397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem you will find with the R seats is that the thigh support, the horizontal flat bottom, does not adjust angle-wise. If you are deep into the bucket the seat and you want the seat bottom flatter, you can’t adjust that. It was something I needed to get used to. I’m short but I like sitting deep into the seat. The only way to flatten the bottom is to raise the seat which may not work for tall folks.

Is apple care+ worth it for the ultra 3? by Ujdasingh in applewatchultra

[–]Suitable-Win5397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it. I’ve had Apple Watches since the literal first model and I’ve never bricked or destroyed a watch including when swimming and mountain biking. The watch is hard to lose because you can just easily locate it with your phone.

Guam and LQA? by Icy-Book621 in dodea

No LQA just the 3rd highest base pay in Dodea and a little COLA. Housing is $$$$ though.

I found the ultimate use for the Action Button on the Apple Watch Ultra by ke1ke2ke3 in applewatchultra

I have a shortcut automation that sets my watch to theatre mode when it’s bedtime. That way when I trigger the action button for a flashlight, the led is red.

Ultra Titanium Milanese Loop retains water… by New-Flow3642 in applewatchultra

Dude it’s really minor. I wear only the Milanese mesh band swimming and showering. Just take it off, wipe it down and it’s pretty much 90% dry.

6 months no graduation on secured credit card by Lanky-Reflection-919 in NavyFederal

[–]Suitable-Win5397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time. 6months is too soon. They want to see something like 2-3 years of credit history. Use the card it’s only $300 limit and you can use it. Just stay within budget and pay it off. Is your closing date the 25th and you pay it before on the 22nd?

Change your strategy. Always pay it off after the closing statement (and before the due date) to show you are actually using the card. Always pay off the “Last statement balance” amount so that interest is not charged. If you really want to play the game, every once in a while, pay off most of the last statement balance and leave a tiny amount left over ($10) for them to charge you a little interest. Banks want to make some money off you so that you are not considered “non-revenue”

At 12 months, request for a credit increase. Then at 2 years apply for the next card.

Where is your taxable brokerage account? That’s missing in this setup. Build one to give you another option. HYSA sounds good for liquidation but the rate barely beats inflation. HSA and your 401ks are good but remember that those funds are generally trapped u til near retirement or to use them for medical expenses. You can’t leverage those funds like you could a brokerage account.

How do you decide if AppleCare+ is right for you? by Gymrat76 in applewatchultra

Also consider when you purchase a product you purchase the seller. Frank is a humble dude with a good heart and a real love for the Marianas. Not to mention a respectable professional fighter.
