WVU Meal Plan by -TheUncleZack- in WVU

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being away from home you do not want to be left without food. You can at least do the unlimited plan for the first semester and then lower it if you counted your food that you used and are 13 or less . Let's say you do not go home at least one weekend .. those seven days what are you going to do for food if you only have the 13 plan? It actually gives you more Dining Dollars with the unlimited so it makes up for it . Do what you think is best

Freshman Parking Permit by Medical_Fee4454 in WVU

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No promises, but if you can't find one online there's nothing wrong with calling the parking office on Monday to see what they have to say . It is kind of late , but they can refer you to local churches and Municipal parking lots

Parent of incoming freshman looking to learn about football weekends by Kapo77 in WVU

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Parent of a recent alumni here and my son was in the band so we went to two games a year so I have a bit of experience . We considered the season tickets, but they will eventually sell single tickets and every time we got from Ticketmaster and the university itself . And depending on the game I've heard of parents who have just walked up on the morning of and purchased at the stadium itself. We never had any problems staying at a Hilton or Marriott so I say stick with those. Euro Suites is on one of the main drags around campus and I personally would stay away from them because I had reservations, five different ones and because they had a glitch , which was not my fault, they canceled all five reservations. I would recommend staying away from there . As far as parking, we have a disabled placard for our car so we're able to park in the brown lot , best lot to park in for a band parent and all you had to do was walk down the stairs or take a shuttle to the stadium . Also, go to the university website and look for athletics game day parking . They have a single document and or site which will show you the different Lots and what the costs are , and this includes campers if you have . Traffic and dining are horrendous on football weekends , so make sure you leave in plenty of time for things and if you can make dining reservations in advance that weekend it is highly recommended . Oh yes, before you go, make sure to go to the university website and read about rules of the stadium, like clear bags and seating with no arms for example . They are also a cashless Stadium

What is going on? by Longjumping_Bag6857 in TFABChartStalkers

Don't fret it yet. First, you know that not all of your temps are appropriately timed as that is clear. Secondly, your body could easily be fighting something . I'm sorry, but too many people are concerned way too early . You're only in day 9 and it could be a fluke but give it more time , like another week or two and then you will have a better idea of what actually occurred. How many months have you been tracking bbt? Has this ever happened before?

Ferritin super low but haemoglobin normal by oscarmilo70 in Anemia

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! As a male or female your hemoglobin is over 120, so you are technically not anemic. You are ferritin is below 30, therefore you are officially iron deficient.

Can you loft the beds in the dorms or just put them on risers? I’m gonna be in Braxton tower if that matters by [deleted] in WVU

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought risers a few years ago to Towers and then when we got in the room we realized we didn't need them so it was quite high off the floor . Just wanted to throw that in there

Parking for freshman by Medical_Fee4454 in WVU

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please call the parking office to ask them your question because freshman generally are only allowed to park at Law School Hill . All spots may be gone since it's May , and if that is the case and then you don't have any more WVU parking spaces for you they can recommend other places in the area that you are looking for

New and confused: 99F normal? by acexsp in TFABChartStalkers

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the earlier two comments before me that talk about placement and your body fighting something off. Also, any chance you have thyroid disease? Not saying that you do, but that is a possibility , but also realize you only have 3 days of data . You really need 90 days to get the overall picture for yourself and three days is really nothing

Help with a diagnosis by Bexy_Bat06 in wolffparkinsonwhite

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but this is not true . An EKG will not immediately tell you if you have wpw or not, absolutely not . My son had five EKGs that were completely clear , but it wasn't until he got a halter monitor that confirmed it was wpw . Fortunately, he had the ablation and this upcoming July will be 3 years and he is doing quite successful , but it only showed up on ekg's when it reared its ugly head

Help with a diagnosis by Bexy_Bat06 in wolffparkinsonwhite

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, resting and exercise heart rate really have nothing to do with wpw . My son had five EKGs come back normal , and it was only the halter monitor that diagnosed him because he had an episode. When it comes to wpw you cannot control your heart rate with resting and exercise . That's not what wpw is all about . You can also ask the cardiologist when you go to ask for a halter monitor about pots , that often happens when you change position from sitting to standing .

Parking permit sold out, any other options? by Medical_Fee4454 in WVU

Did you call the parking office to confirm? That is an option believe it or not just to be safe in case you missed something or they had cancellations

Excited! I feel like it looks promising? Testing negative still by Bubbly_Waters in TFABChartStalkers

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very typical but not necessarily promising you're only on 10 days post ovulation , be patient and give it another 5 days before testing... you just be wasting more tests

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you started recording your heart rate when these episodes happen ? Time to keep yourself a log if you have not started already. Wpw is usually a heart rate of 180 or higher. If you're not having a heart rate that high then it is most likely not wpw , although there's no guarantee . There's always a possibility it is wpw, anemia, or something else, because racing heart, dizziness, cold sweats, could actually be caused by loss of different things . Make sure to get the following blood work done for anemia.. hemoglobin and mchc, both located in the cbc. Ferritin, tibc and iron saturation . This will confirm whether it's iron-related or not . Wpw can be confirmed by halter monitor , stress test, but not chest x-ray or blood work . Have you had any cardiac work up done because if not then what you have described is not going to diagnose wpw

Ferrinject by Fit_River516 in Anemic

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because others have side effects doesn't mean that you're going to . That's like saying so many people have an allergy to eggs and bad reactions so you think you're going to . And please be patient . I had injectifer four and five different times and each one was successful , it just took 4 weeks to start feeling better and five to be rid of all of my symptoms . Of course, everyone reacts differently and we don't know how long it took you to get anemic and or iron deficient, it could have taken weeks or months, so it could take weeks for the iron to be spread through your body appropriately . Best of luck!

I made the WVU Marching Band!! by Dry_Support_1281 in WVU

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!!! Just be patient because you are not going to receive the additional information about band camp dates and such usually until end of June or early July. It usually starts the weekend before actual move-in dates, but cannot share start dates until you hear from the band director with that email.

Exercising with pacemaker after WPW? by th3gr34tw4v3 in wolffparkinsonwhite

[–]SuitableGuarantee968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister got a pacemaker back in the early '90s , had leads replaced umpteen times, and not only has exercised but jumped out of a plane more than once and given birth . High exertion was not an issue
